    Griffin Armament SN-ACH

Anyone used one of these yet? I do not see much out there on YouTube/forums. Considering this for my .308 AR. I like the idea but the lack of info is concerning. Any feedback is appreciated.

    16” .308 Buffer Assembly Recommendations

Yes sir. Thats what I have come to. I can’t find the LMT kit in stock so I may need to buy the parts separately. Probably not a bad thing if I plan on get the adjustable weight buffer.

    BCGs “Optimized” for Suppressors

I may give the bootleg a shot on my 11.5” 5.56 and then snag an LMT for the .308. I see the LMT BCGs are showing up more.

    16” .308 Buffer Assembly Recommendations

It looks like the Sprinco Red is the best option for this setup. Thanks!

    BCGs “Optimized” for Suppressors

Roger that. I have an adjustable gas on both the .308 and 5.56 so this is just an extra attempt to tame the gas.

    BCGs “Optimized” for Suppressors

Sounds like resounding support for bootleg. Thanks gents.

    16” .308 Buffer Assembly Recommendations

Interesting. I have no idea where to start with weight so was just going to go 5.6 oz with increased spring. Part of me thinks just buy the LMT extension kit now. 😂

    16” .308 Buffer Assembly Recommendations

Thanks for helping me through this. I have built so many rifles a never knew this was a thing. 😂 Granted, all but 1 of the builds were 5.56. I think you are right. I may start with a new buffer or spring specifically for .308 with a short extension. If all else fails, I’ll try the longer...

    16” .308 Buffer Assembly Recommendations

I went ahead and got it out of the safe and broke it down. The buffer is 2.5” long, the internal length of my extension is 7”. The weight of the buffer is 3.8oz. Sounds like I need to go heavier but stick with the shorter buffers. Just so I am understanding correctly, on an AR-10 with the...

    16” .308 Buffer Assembly Recommendations

Thanks for the feedback. I will see what I can find on the buffer tomorrow. I may have to resort to measuring and weighing it.

    16” .308 Buffer Assembly Recommendations

I need to get a measurement and weight on it tomorrow and repost.

    16” .308 Buffer Assembly Recommendations

I am running a standard AR-15 buffer currently.

    16” .308 Buffer Assembly Recommendations

I like the idea of sticking with the standard 7” tube/extension in case I ever witch things around. Throwing in a new spring and buffer seems like a good direction to go

    BCGs “Optimized” for Suppressors

Dang, that was the other I forgot to mention above! Thanks for the feedback. You running it on a 5.56?

    BCGs “Optimized” for Suppressors

I am in the market for a new 5.56 and .308 BCG. I will use the rifles with a suppressor 99% of the time. The rifles are an SBR 5.56 and 16” .308. Is there anything to these suppressor optimized / enhanced BCGs? I see the LMT, LWRC, CMC and Lantac specifically call out design enhancements...

    16” .308 Buffer Assembly Recommendations

Good evening, I need some recommendations on a good buffer spring/buffer weight for my 16” .308 AR. I am running a Thunderbeast Dominus and getting a pretty firm recoil impulse. I have adjusted as much out as I could with an SLR gas block but I think a better buffer combo would be ever better...

SLR Sentry 7 adjustable gas block clamp-on: Geissele Mk 8

Thanks. I appreciate the feedback. Would hate to get down the road and have an issue.

SLR Sentry 7 adjustable gas block clamp-on: Geissele Mk 8

Does anyone have experience running this combination? The clamp on SLR sentry 7 gas block is definitely on the taller side and the Geissele rail is 1.35” ID. The SLR website says that any hand guard with 1.35” ID or larger should be fine. Just wondering how much room I have to play with...
