New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
Had a Shockwave, and bought the Roughneck for night hunting and variety of calls as there a ton of Foxpro users in my area. Can't say it changed my life but I'm happy with the call.
See what she likes from all the excellent advice above. I love the Berger Hybrids and have never looked back. Goal #1 is a lot harder than goal #2. Almost any modern 30 cal hunting bullet can kill a whitetail at 300 with proper shot placement. 1 MOA at 999 yards is another thing....
You might also enjoy the American Rimfire Association game (Factory Class). It's addictive! You have a rifle that can should 1/2 moa groups at 50 so you'd think it would be easy to shoot a perfect card....

I'd also ask what your expectations are for accuracy and at what distances. the ROI on obsessing...
I have a couple Coopers--latest was for my son who is a lefty-- a 54 in 7mm-08. Very light and accurate. I mean for pure utility go with the Tikka--but Coopers are a bit more refined IMHO. My son's came with beautiful walnut stock--classic/old school. Sent it to Cooper to be bedded into a...
I scoped my son's Cooper in 7mm-08 with a Leupold VX5-HD in 3-15X44 Firedot CDS. I liked the slightly smaller objective for compactness/low mounting. Great scope--if you need the bigger objective for low light I think it's a great scope in your price range.
