    CZ 457

Good for the squirrel hunting part, but I'd want more magnification on the high end for target work. I find the 4-16 range a good compromise.

Hunting & Fishing Lucky Duck Or Icotech?

Had a Shockwave, and bought the Roughneck for night hunting and variety of calls as there a ton of Foxpro users in my area. Can't say it changed my life but I'm happy with the call.

LR .308 loads with a hunting bullet?

See what she likes from all the excellent advice above. I love the Berger Hybrids and have never looked back. Goal #1 is a lot harder than goal #2. Almost any modern 30 cal hunting bullet can kill a whitetail at 300 with proper shot placement. 1 MOA at 999 yards is another thing....

Recommendation for solid sling swivel to picatinny rail adapter

I've got a number of the BT units and they're great and very solid. I also have been pleasantly surprised at this inexpensive Caldwell solution. It's great for lighter guns with angled/traditional hunting forends as you can adjust the cant. Amazon link

Rifle Scopes Removing Stubborn Spots from Objective

I'm also in the camp that obsessing over objective lens crud can cause more harm than good. Within reason of course. I've had expensive Nikon camera lenses with objective scratches that looked alarming but didn't seem to translate to imperfections in actual photographs. Now a scratch on the body...

    Concentricity Gauge how important?

Regardless if which one you buy, get ready to go down the rabbit hole. I've found it to be a vexing issue--I've chased the problem quite a bit over the years with different guns/dies/presses etc. I'd also ask what your expectations are for accuracy and at what distances. the ROI on obsessing...

    Should I buy a Cooper?

I have a couple Coopers--latest was for my son who is a lefty-- a 54 in 7mm-08. Very light and accurate. I mean for pure utility go with the Tikka--but Coopers are a bit more refined IMHO. My son's came with beautiful walnut stock--classic/old school. Sent it to Cooper to be bedded into a...

Tikka vs Savage vs Howa 223

" Don't thread a .223 unless you have a suppressor, IMO." Exactly what I thought when read the thread....

    Accuracy standard

1/2 MOA at 50 is awfully good in my book for non-benchrest guns shooting off of bags/bipod vs. $1,000 K machine rests.

    Rifle Scopes Hunting Scope suggestions

I scoped my son's Cooper in 7mm-08 with a Leupold VX5-HD in 3-15X44 Firedot CDS. I liked the slightly smaller objective for compactness/low mounting. Great scope--if you need the bigger objective for low light I think it's a great scope in your price range.
