    I run the 40gr Vmax in my 1/8, shoots great and doesn’t tear up fur. I like Benchmark and 4198 with the light bullets, have you tried 8208xbr with the heavies? The whole twist rate/bullet weight thing is a load of shit from everything I’ve seen, just as long as the bullet doesn’t come apart.

    Just a note about your reloading costs. Lapua brass should be good for 10 loadings if you don’t overwork/hotrod it. 285gr eld-ms can be had for ~70 cents a pop. Powder by the keg should be $25 a lb or so. That math should make your cost a bit more manageable.

    Remington 700 long action, calibers????

    I’m finishing a 7.62x63mm build right now. Just needs a scope and some feed ramp mods, 27” Rock Creek throated for 215gr hybrids, Lapua brass and a keg of RL26 ready to go. Basically a 6.5 Creed with a 215gr bullet. Big fan of the 270 as well, great caliber. Can’t go wrong honestly.
