    Well, with flir discontinuing to us normal folk. What would be an equivalent scope by another manufacturer, pulsar, atn, etc? Looking at a trail xp50 but I haven’t had one hands on. I liked the 536 I used.. Thanks!

    How do the thread on versions account for leveling the prism? Rotated from vertical you would be adding wind, or worse 180 off it would be removing elevation. Thread somewhat on and level with a lock ring?

    Learn to run a lathe and a mill. There has been so much good info posted on this site by the big names over the years that once you start turning you will learn what you like, figure out what works and realize where to spend your money on tooling. As chad said.. a thawed check book.. lol...

    The tikka’s work in the same function. My browning A-bolt locks the bolt shut when the safety is on. I never confirmed the pin height that it blocks the firing pin or not.. I would assume so, but you know what they say about assume.

    Sako TRG trigger safety engages a pin that locks the bolt closed and the firing pin in the cocked position. Even if the trigger some how released the pin would retain the spring tension and stop the firing pin.

    Ding ding ding! That’s how I feel about it. I’ve built what I want/need. Now it’s nice to be able to use and enjoy it. Swap a barrel once and a while and the rifle always feels like a favorite out of boots. Just works.

    Don’t use a shoulder. Square up the front of the barrel and align off that, and make a bushing to fit. . Similar to Geno’s solution.

    Norma mag case is such a better deal than the belted mag. Then one bolt covers all the needs, really is the way to go. I was looking for a wm bolt for my trg, then bit the bullet and did a norma improved, love it. If only sako made a trg in left hand..

    34” on the bench gun and 38.5 on the hunter gun.. Geno is correct. H50 Is back for a couple months now.
