here is the breakdown i traded for a bat machine 300 win mag with a very heavy 1.75 34" long barrel. it is 30 pounds just receiver and barrel. quite heavy by anyone's standards. it was built as a heavy bench gun and i have aspirations of rebarreling it to 375 chey tac once this barrel is toast...

    Buffalo classic

Re: Buffalo classic the sight sits right over the hammer and gives about 2" more sight radius. windage and elevation are both the same type of knob and have good solid clicks. just imagine the elevation knob turned sideways.

    Buffalo classic

Re: Buffalo classic i have one and i put the williams foolproof 5d sight on the back with a target aperture. helped my shooting greatly, also nice to make adjustments with the target click knobs on the side. well worth the money.

Re: savage or browning? without a doubt go savage. i had a browning a bolt in 338 rum and it was a pain to get parts for. savage is easy to get parts , stocks , etc. browning is a really nice rifle just like it for what it is

    Savage a better deal?

Re: Savage a better deal? like everyone else said the jb is not a problem. i got a sweet deal on a Remington 223 because the previous owner used jb to "bed" it and got the shit everywhere! the bolt was stuck in place because he squeezed the receiver in to the stock with no screws so it went...
