    Giraud Trimmer Accuracy Question

This has not been my experience, but is a very solid question. Let me take a stab at explaining (or at least give you my created logic of the topic!). It kind of goes back to what I said about consistency in my previous post. As shooters, we try to say keen on consistency and another thing...

    Giraud Trimmer Accuracy Question

The shooters above me are all correct. It took me right around an hour to trim, chamfer, and debut 100pcs of .30-30 brass. It then took me 10 minutes to do 100 pieces of .223 with my Giraud. After seeing the drastic difference in time used, the quality of the trim/chamfer/debur, and the ease...

Random question: Please give me the exact dimensions of an 8 pound jug of Varget?

With the assumption that Hodgdon uses the same 8lb jug for all powders, as the few that I have (H4895 and H110..unfortunately, I only have pounders of Varget) all measure the same... Length: 7" Width: 4.75" Height: 10.5" As a fair warning.. I did this with a tape measure. The jug is able to be...

Processed Brass: 300 Blackout and 223

Hey everyone; I recently had someone reach out to me about processing brass. I figured I would come to you guys with some guidance. They don't like processing brass, only priming, powder, and seating. So he asked me about processing brass for him and his buddies or what prices they should be...

    Screw all you beer snobs

I shall snob until the end times my friends.. The Pumking and 61 Minute were just added to the fridge recently. The small fridge is DogFish Head beers only. All the green caps are 120s (which recently had another half case added). The ones in that picture are slightly under 2 years...

    Maggie’s Dick's selling AR15's

I live relatively near the new Field and Stream. I had heard that they were selling ARs and I was also under the understanding that they were part of DSGs.. It kind of blew my mind and now there is even news articles out about it. Many 'wanna-be-hick-wear-every-...

Sidearms & Scatterguns Best 9mm sub compact carry pistol

The XDs in 9mm is a pretty nifty little pistol. I love the XDs in 45 and so I decided to pick up a 9mm as well. It is a blast to shoot and surely can be concealed. Although it isn't in my every day rotation, I'm sure it could be eventually. I am a bigger fan of carrying 45s (my daily is a Kimber...

Hunting & Fishing 2fer on video.......

MLC: Wouldn't it have been a little more gentleman like to let him get his business done and to pass on the opportunity for my venison on the plate at a later date? OP: Nice groundhog control friend! They seem to not be as bright as ones in SW PA. The ones around here hear one shot and it...

    Reloading supplies cost

M198; 1x (range pickup brass) is not bad to deal with. I have loaded it all and rarely have issues. Some companies may give you a little more hassle (like AMERIC) and can simply be tossed/recycled/scrapped. Don't be afraid to buy range brass, but make sure you prep it correctly and make sure...

    Looking for bullets

PV is Powder Valley, a great company for reloading components. As far as bullets for pistol.. Are you looking for cast, plated, FMJ? I have a large sum of 9mm 115 FMJs that I am probably not going to use all of any time soon if you are interested. Shoot me a PM and maybe we can work something out.

    universal decap .338?

My Redding universal kit decaps with no problems. I bought the kit, which comes with a small and large die. The 338 obviously goes with the large one..

    Pistol powder recommendation

It also meters very consistently due to being a ball powder!

    Pistol powder recommendation

Go with HP-38. It is the exact same powder as W-231 and is generally cheaper as well. It can be used in any of the cartridges you listed as well as many, many others.

Maggie’s Day Two.. I think these fuckers are trying to kill me

I mean no offense by this.. but why in the world would you clock out then continue to give someone your time that they are not paying you? Say there are 250 working days in a year.. 250 days * 15 minutes = 3,750 minutes/year you work for free. 3,750 minutes/60minutes = 62.5 hours free per year...

Ollie, Where are you hunting at? I have a couple places I get to go to in the Harmony/Butler area that are usually pretty good spots!

Hunting & Fishing Largest animal killed with a 22lr

Christopher McCandless killed a moose with a .22LR. Watch the movie called, "Into the Wild." It is a documentary about his story and is actually a really good movie. The book is also a really good read and is called, "Into the Wild," as well.

    dies for .338 lapua

Redding Competition Dies for sure. I use them for all the rifles that I hand load for. If just reloading for plinking, I use basic RCBS dies.

    Savage 110BA 338LM

The 110BA I shoot has a common load of 90.0gr of H-1000, Lapua brass, 215M primer, and 300 Scenar seated .010 off of the lands. I tried Hornady and will never use it again in the Lapua. I had to use a rubber mallet to knock back the bolt on the rifle in order to free the brass from the chamber...

Sidearms & Scatterguns IWB Help: 1911, Leather, Tuckable

Re: IWB Help: 1911, Leather, Tuckable I appreciate the suggestions, but don't think any of those quite fit the bill. I would appreciate anymore ideas though, as I am hoping to order this week!
