    Primer thing?

    Did you clean the primer pockets with a primer pocket uniformer? It should not take a lot of effort to seat primers. Primer diameters haven't changed. Not likely with Hornady, but by any chance were the original primers crimped?

    I'm an occasional F-Class shooter (Sharpshooter class). I use a Leupold 6.5-20 and frequently run it at 16 because of mirage. 29 should be plenty.

    I've shot 3-Gun for years and am going to try local PRS type matches to 700 yards. I have a 20" Krieger 7.7 twist barrel. I have Varget, RL-15, and Benchmark and Winchester and CCI BR4 primers. Need to load to 2.260 max mag length. I would appreciate suggestions.

    Grayboe Renegade, a review and start of a long term test.

    I recently restocked my Remington LTR with a Grayboe Renegade. I bought the BDL version but used my old style H-S Precision DBM bottom metal. Light filing required to fit it and had to shorten the front action bolt .050". Shot two 5/16" 3 shot groups during sight in.

    What caliber...

    An AR type rifle designed to shoot .308 is generally heavier and much more expensive than one designed to shoot .223 and likely over your budget. An AR-15 shooting mag length cartridges is going to be a struggle over 600 yards. I'd recommend a .308 bolt gun.

    I also have a LTR purchased in 2002 that I recently switched to a Grayboe stock. Shot two 5/16" 3 shot groups sighting it in. 2000 rounds through the gun.
