you went from "never" to "i did buy" pretty fast lol. I get it though. The AXSR is irresistible. Especially in Elite Sand. The only improvement I could see would be eliminating the safety completely (bolt guns don't need safeties) and bonding the action. Oh, and space for both hex keys in...

Night Vision Vortex Impact 4000 Rifle/Rail mounted Range finder???

Top is better but I had to go side because clipIR ELR too tall. Impact does good job of rotating the display when it’s mounted on side BUT the screen is now tall and narrow so the info changes and font size. Iirc you have to swap the remote in the menu. On a positive note the fact that the...

the only difference i noticed for the european AXSR Mil vs civilian was the Mil bolt uses maraging steel (thus my question)

Ahh that makes sense. I actually like the trigger safety and grip better on the SR but I wish they could have kept epoxy bedding. AI needs to do a AW throwback special limited edition of the AT with thumbhole skins as a one time deal next year. Make like 200 of them with cases tshirts etc.

    Axsr calibers

Thanks for the replies, all. I don’t really “want” it right now. Small and large suit me fine and I don’t really desire a medium. It’s mostly a FOMO thing where lefty bolts are in stock and God knows if they ever will be again. So I don’t want to be 3-4 years down the road and not able to...

    Axsr calibers

what about 7 or 300prc would make you want one instead of a 300nm?

    Axsr calibers

If you had an axsr with 300nm and 6.5cm, is there any caliber in between that make you want a 300wm bolt? I mean short action calibers are covered and the large magnums are covered. I there anything win mag sized that’s cool enough to be worth it?

Seriously. Every time I pass the FWB church I just chuckle. Maybe I’m the one missing out though… (For any of you Yankees reading, that’s Free Will Baptists that have HoJod and IHOPd themselves)

    AI AXSR Long Term Thoughts?

Could you bond an axsr? I mean the only thing stopping you would be if you need to pull the action to do maintenance on the trigger right? But if you could swap a trigger without removing the action, why not bond it? (Yeah I know AI will say it’s not needed)

My understanding is the old “cg Jackson” trigger evolved into Tom Myers “mod22” Xtreme trigger. I don’t remember when I started using that trigger but it was maybe a year or two before the first mammoth. I used them exclusively in the first and second gen bighorns and then surgeons over about...

What is the Nightforce of single stage reloading presses ?

So you might find that another advantage of the coax. The factory standard shell plates would handle all those and if you needed to do smaller or larger cartridges the other shell plate is $45. I mean $8 for a shell holder isn’t the end of the world but when you buy 15 of them it adds up. If...

What is the Nightforce of single stage reloading presses ?

Out of curiosity how many cartridges do you reload on your rockchucke? And how many shell holders do you have?

What is the Nightforce of single stage reloading presses ?

Long list of features, but the top ones are that the dies are super easy to snap in and out. It’s not a big deal when you’re making 300 rounds for a match and you size 300 then seat 300 etc. but when you’re working up loads or just want to make small batches at a time 3-5 rounds to check...
