New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
Just looking for what best fits the budget. Also not willing to wait a year. Might be ok with a 8-12 weeks but need something to start developing a load for before next spring.
Budget does not include glass. I’ll be running the leupold mk5 3.6-18. A fair amount of hunting will be in CA so I’ll have to run copper so in a 6.5 probably the 127 lrx. For game I’d probably say about 700 is comfortable for me given decent conditions and varmint Probably around a grand. The...
Been varmint and deer hunting with a bergara in an mpa chassis. Great gun for a field beater but looking to lose some weight on it. Looking at different options and wondering what you guys would suggest for around the 3000-3500 range?
MPA has a carbon barreled hunting rifle in the Curtis light...
What would it take to get a proof barrel fitted up on one of these? Love the rifle but want a 22" CF barrel on it. I would assume that it would balance ok since guys are doing pretty well with the stock 18" barrel and a can on it.
Eotech vudu 5-25x50
MD3 reticle.
It is currently mounted in ARC rings which I will sell with the scope but not separate.
Tall target tested and tracks perfectly.
I have the original box and paperwork.
$1200 with rings.
$1100 without rings
Running a bergara 6.5cm with Norma brass. Some of the brass is hitting 7x reloaded. After about 5x it’s getting progressively harder to close the bolt.
My reloading process is full length resizing with a standard Hornady custom die.
My loads are on the hot side as I am using it for hunting...
Awesome news. Glad it’s not just me and that it will be resolved. I’d much rather use the Hornady app when hunting cause it’s a little quicker and the layout and read outs are faster for me.
Been using the Hornady calculator for both their 4dof and standard calculator. It’s been great and spot on to 700. Recently wanted to try AB and was getting drastically different numbers between the two. Found out it was because the shooting angle in the Hornady app has a glitch.
I’m using 4dof...
Shot both Hornady 120gmx and 120ttsx to 820 yards today. Both shot almost identical. 5.9mils drop with 1mil wind. Wind was 5mph left to right. Hit 12” plate 6 of 10 with the 4 misses being just off the edge. Would have easily been a vitals shot if it was on game. Feel pretty confident with this...
Pretty sure the distance was accurate otherwise I wouldn’t have consistently hit with the come up the 4dof gave me. It was just I didn’t realize there was such. Large angle when I inputted the data into the other solvers. I have used the drone to calculate distance many things and I would trust...
Distance from me to the target. Ok so here’s my redneck range finder since my dad has mine out hunting. Took my drone and flew it from my location to the target which was 2031 feet from my shooting location.
Recently picked up a 5-25 EOTech vudu with md3 reticle To replace my Bushnell DMRii. Love the optic and it’s definitely an upgrade. I rarely to ever use illumination so it wasn’t a concern of mine that its very very dim in daylight. However I just looked at it in dim lighting and its not that it...
