    Alliant 2000mr in the ar15 - impressed

Thanks for the update! I'm getting almost the same velocities with 1 grain less power using LC brass in my 24" surgeon. I'm really hoping I can get to 2800fps this week as I still have no pressure signs. If i can get there and the load shoots well ill be very happy bc that load will match my...

Rifle Scopes Vortex Viper PST clarity

I had a 6-24x before I switched to the Razor. I had no complaints about it and would buy it again if that's the price range I was going for.

    Chargemaster Precision

I'm no expert but there are many, many shooters that use them and have great results. The only way to know for sure is to load up your rounds and shoot them. I find that with mine it helps to let it "warm up" for about 30 min before calibrating and starting loading. Also the straw mod is free...

Recommend a rifle to learn on? And why a PF action?

There is nothing wrong with the SPR at all, I have been shooting mine in local comps and it has been great! I am very happy that I went that way first because I have put about 2k rounds of 308 down the tube and the thing is barely broke in and for a new shooter getting rounds down range is how...

New (to me) Surgeon switch barrel

I'm all new to this and the only thing that I have changed a barrel on is an AR...... BUT I have a Davidson barrel vise and a surgeon action wrench in the mail that should be here today. I wanted to try out the Davidson because I have read some good stuff on it and David Tubbs uses pretty much...

New (to me) Surgeon switch barrel

Man, I have a soft spot for the FN and after handling some custom/semi-custom guns its hard to believe that the FN is a factory built rifle because it is on par with quite a few custom action (non surgeon) and better than some trued remys.

New (to me) Surgeon switch barrel

+1 great value for a great brake

Best place for .308 bullet pulls/seconds

I have ordered seconds from PV and Graf's. I found that the Graf's are much more consistent, on par with factory Sierra's, and I have not come across any different bullet weights mixed in. PV seconds are pretty good but about 5% are 168g or 190g bullets mixed in, so you need to pay close...

Good range to confirm 175 SMK 1,000 load at?

I confirm my loads at 400 yards. I ignore most the horizontal and just concentrate on the vertical so environmentals are not really a factor. Those are some really stout loads you are working with, what kind of velocities are you getting?
