    80% lower 7.62 knights sr-25 upper?

Yeah actually it is, I have heard more than one person on the internet with access to a mill wonder about which jig to buy (and my answer is it's always a waste of money).... most jigs are about 1/5 of the price of a POS harbor freight mini mill that anybody can fit anywhere and you try to call...

    80% lower 7.62 knights sr-25 upper?

While I haven't finished a genesis I have milled ar15's and ar10's both billet and forged. You do not need a jig as long as you have a mill, a dial indicator, a vise and some 1-2-3 blocks....

    NRL22 barrel length?

I have found that longer barrels yield better ES. and keep rounds subsonic. As far as @straightshooter1 's hypothesis on shorter barrels being "better" from a bullet in fight point of view and Iron sights comments , you can get sight radius from either a long barrel or a "bloop tube", when...

VA Governor - Will the left abandon him?

Every coin has two sides to the same coin, very much a case of the "opposition" being the exact same coin, so I have to go with equally resoponsible......

VA Governor - Will the left abandon him?

Mehhh, he is being deep sixed buy his own party after he became a liability for speaking in public (abortion) what many of them think/say behind closed doors. This is the downside of being a "fellow traveler", you are one mistake from a "Makarov Migraine", his just happens to be political in...

    30-06 still relevant?

@stello1001, The poster you are thinking of is @MontanaMarine , he got impressive results with 208 amaxs in an'06. The new 200gr. SMK with a BC over .7 would be the bullet I would look at making my chamber reamer around

Are high end .22 bbl's made of the same steel as Centerfire?

The rimfire barrels I have machined all cut with the same feeds and speeds I use on 416 SS centerfire barrels, while I don't know for a fact that it was the same (alloy and hardess), given how hard it is for barrelmakers to get a good lot of steel, who thinks they would spec a different product...

Threaded actions do not win any more events than a glue in barrel. Several of the above will make a barrel for you either way, as it is your money...

    CZ455 Rifle Smith

Gordon Eck, Kevin Nevius, Mark Penrod, Evelio McDonald, Chad Dixon, Mark Cheesebro all have a pedigree of building rimfire winners, I am sure I left a few of the list inadvertently....permanently attaching the barrel is no big deal, just a simple application of the appropriate loc-tite/permatex...

    Son's nrl 22 build

Today was my son and his friends first Nrl22 match. His first stage (pick a target, any target 4" or less at 100 off of chairs and barricades)he got pretty down on himself because he had trouble getting a stable position. We had to have a talk about the importance of 1. Be safe, 2. Have Fun 3...

Sidearms & Scatterguns Which RDS for pistol?

Vortex are lifetime warranty on their rds. For what it is worth, a RDS riding on a slide takes way more G's than a "high powered rifle", any manufacturer's rds sometimes go TU under these circumstances-mount it to the frame of a semi or on a barrel of a revolver and they live way longer w/o all...

    I need opinions.

Hellbender , as I remember it, Tubb won Perry two years in a row with a 6.5-08 modified SR-25 then didn't win the 3rd year due to his SR-25's mechanical issues and that was the end of gas guns in competition for him and the beginning of the design of the Tubb/McMillan T2K. Now he has publicly...
