Hunting & Fishing Let’s start a coyote thread.

Shot this guy at 175y running after newborn lambs. Already lost a lamb last night. Best shot I’ve ever made with a thermal. Not today Fox man!

What qualifies a round to have a AR-15 vs an AR-10 frame?

If the COAL is ~ >2.265” then you use an AR10, or hand load an AR15.

How do you choose a BULLET for load development?

The majority of people running 6GT in PRS are using Berger 109s - or they were, until I bought them all and they became scarce. :) and see above.

How do you choose a BULLET for load development?

I would, and did, choose the 140gr ELDM for PRS and 143gr ELDX for hunting when I used a 6.5CM for PRS. I still use a 6.5CM for hunting. I now use a Berger 109 in 6GT for PRS. Too many people using the above bullets to know anything other than tiny bug holes with small SDs means I screwed...

How do you choose a BULLET for load development?

My bullet selection process is easy. Im not a tinkerer. Im not a Guinea pig. I’m not sponsored or given shit for free so whatever I buy I expect to work - so I use what’s tried and true. I’m not rocking wildcat cartridges. Everything I shoot has been in the field for years before I even bother...

Masterpiece Arms vs American Rifle Company

I just don’t see the need to get hyped over something one can’t even buy, and has zero independent reviews. Consider me burned too often by gun companies over promising and under delivering. On paper, it sounds pretty sweet though.

Hunting & Fishing Let’s start a coyote thread.

May be my last kill with a .223. Switched to 6.5 because I got sick of having to look for them. I only get paid for the ones I recover. Shot that thing in the heart, had a broadhead -like blood trail gushing down the road and he still ran 30 yards.

Masterpiece Arms vs American Rifle Company

How long is the wait? How long have they been in regular guys’ hands? Any real world reviews yet? (ie didn’t get it for free or paid review)

Masterpiece Arms vs American Rifle Company

Some new action everyone is hyped over for the next few weeks.

Hunting & Fishing Let’s start a coyote thread.

I don’t have it on anymore. I tried to cut weight down by removing things like the suppressor cover, BUIS, etc so I can’t measure it but it was identical in height to an RMR on top of an ACOG. I remove the bipod when I’m not at my house since I don’t use it in blinds or tree stands and it’s...

I need all the specs on this rifle. It is exactly what I want. Beautiful.

Hunting & Fishing Pics out of or from your blind or stand.

This spot has been a great honey hole this year. Maxed out my buck tags. Every kill was with the VaRmInT RoUnD .223. Actually more excited for the spring use of a depredation permit and killing them with thermal. Completely overrun on my farm with does.

What pistol do you use for self-protection out in public?

308pirate is hilarious and a forum treasure (except when you are on the receiving end of his wit) I honestly don’t carry anything in public anymore. I used to carry a G43 but now that I’ve moved to an area with demographics of 1980s sitcoms and where there are more cows than people I just don’t...

    Winter Shooting Gear

I switch from flip flops to under armor shoes in the winter. Might wear a hoodie. Being cold sucks.

How far could you hit a 19”W x 24”H target with 100% certainty?

Of course you can use your reticle. Just like you can estimate football fields or 9,000 dicks if you shoot 6.5CM and are familiar with that many dicks.

How far could you hit a 19”W x 24”H target with 100% certainty?

Whatever caliber in which the rifle you chose to shoot the target with is chambered.

How far could you hit a 19”W x 24”H target with 100% certainty?

No aids. No kestrel. No range finder. No dope cards. No buddies to coach or spot for you. Just you, your scoped rifle with bipod, and a rear bag (Wilcox turned off) Target distance is unknown. Wind is 5 to 10 MPH shifting from 7 to 10 o’ clock. Target is unobscured, not moving, freshly...
