KRG Whiskey 3 Chassis-Let's See Them

Sweet looking rifle! I'm debating on something similar to that. What height rings, and what barrel contour are you running?

FYI: Lone Peak Fuzion short actions in at Altus

I called and ordered one directly from Lone peak arms this morning. Then got the notification from Altus that they were back in stock. I would have gotten a better deal going through Altus.. Lol

    Unexplained fliers. WTF!

I'm shooting them in a 6xc. My barrel twist is 1:7.5. I have had good results with them in the past. But after today I'm a bit puzzled. I grabbed a handful from the box and checked ogive, and weight but all were consistent. I will have to load a few more strings up and see if I'm still having...

    Unexplained fliers. WTF!

Good evening hide members. I was out at my local range this afternoon fire forming some brass, and confirming a load of H4350 and 115 dtacs. The load I used for fire forming was impressive, I put some berger 105 hunting vlds over a mild charge of H4350 and it shot lights out. The 115 dtac load...

Gunsmithing Dimpling barrel for gas block screws.

I want as much clearance between the handguard, and gas block as possible. I had a BCM low profile block installed originally, which only gave me .050-.060. I wanted more than that. Hindsight I shouldn't have used such a slim rail with this build.

I forgot to mention, its a .750 journal.

Gunsmithing Dimpling barrel for gas block screws.

I am trying out a different gas block on my barrel to get the lowest profile I can get. I ended up with a badger ordnance tdx gas manifold which was one of the lowest profile I could find. I temporarily put the block on my barrel and see a huge need to dimple both screws because they stick out...

    Low profile gas block clearance.

I will try this first! I'm surprised more manufacturers haven't figured this out yet. I even looked at MI offerings. Their blocks were even taller than the BCM block I'm running now.... Thanks pal...

    Low profile gas block clearance.

This is the exact route I think I'm headed. This build has a MI handguard. I have another rifle that has the Geissele smr mk 2. I wish I would have just gone that route.

    Low profile gas block clearance.

I recently finished up my first build, and learned a whole bunch along the way. My concern is the clearance between the gas block and bottom of the inside of the handguard. There is about. .05 to .06 of clearance without pressing the barrel and handguard together, and it never touches unless I...

Was the brass fired from a different chamber? You may need a small base die to do the initial sizing...
