    New Hunting Rig

    10LBS with bipod,scope and #4 contour brux barrel Gun shoots excellent. Load was worked up with Nosler Ballistic tips Shot some Hornady SST's and they are showing good results also. Need to play a little more with powder on those. Shooting H4350 with both bullets.

    I had this problem in the last 5 inches of a different brand well known barrel. They replaced it. My experience with Barnes bullets is that they copper foul any kind of barrel so I don't use them.

    If I didn't already have one of Moons 308's with a 700 action I would snag this one. Mine shoots 4 different kinds of factory match ammo 1/2 MOA or better and the action is smooth as butter.

    Why do my groups open up over time?

    I can't understand why people don't clean there rifles on a regular basis. It doesn't hurt your gun unless you do something stupid. I would scrub the hell out of it and try them again. Some barrels foul out with under a 100 rounds threw them and some don't. What kind of speeds are you getting...

    I have never seen that with the 130's or any other berger bullet that I have used. OAL of berger bullets vary but who cares about that.

    OP,what loads have you tried with H4895? My 308 likes it better than varget but had to load it down because its a hotter powder.

    I personally run BDL on my custom hunting rifles. If I could find a DBM that sits almost flush I would use them.

    I have some custom actions and 700 actions on custom builds. The 700's that I have are just as smooth and run just as good as the customs. It's all who does the work that matters.

    Custom in ear hearing protection.

    My wife is in the Hearing Aid business. She made me some years ago and they work and feel great. I use them for shooting,grass cutting ETC. Any hearing aid place should be able to make you some.
