New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
Seating depth is king on the bergers. Play with that a bit and let us know if that works. Also try H1000. My rifle shot 1.1moa with retumbo and well under .5 moa with H1000
Good Luck,
Merritt
Precision Armament Base - has integrated recoil lug and is pretty light weight but still strong - 120.00
AADland Rings (medium height with 50mm obj) - Best rings you can buy IMO very strong 2 recoil lugs into rail - 130.00
Mark you are correct turning the neck is what is needed to use the Sierra's. These Bergers are shooting so well right now im not changing a thing.
Here is the new Precision Armament rail with integrated recoil lug. Pics with my USO SN-3 3-17, and TPS Low rings installed. Also as requested my...
Hunt down a stevens 200 short action and it will drop right in. They are still making them.
And I would highly recommend the 6.5x47 over the 260. More consistant powder burn with almost identical ballistics.
Good luck,
Merritt
With the 22-250 being a long action you have ALOT of options. One thing my cousin and I have run into before is with a 7-08 in a long action it didnt want to feed well. It wasnt as much the diameter of the case but the length. Id highly recommend the 280ai. If you put a good break on the...
Long action chassis for a 300wm. Magazines are the same. Mags feed great no need to modify them for the round. I highly recommend the 2.0 folding chassis or the AX folder so you dont have to lower the cheek to remove the bolt from the rifle but thats personal preference.
Also the folders...
Tactical match is a tighter version of the standard Rem mag. Once I shoot a round through it the used brass has almost zero expansion. Also the chamber is so tight it won't accept sierra bullets because it stretches the neck just wide enough in diameter to not feed.
Currently it's running the...
Thanks guys. I have a Precision Armament 20MOA base on order to replace my 0MOA EGW I have been using. Hoping the added lock up with the recoil lugged scope base helps even more with the accuracy.
Thanks,
Merritt
My precision armerment M41 does a great job and doesnt need timed. I would recommend using the spanner wrench to tight it down and make it easier to get odd as well. Im shooting the 180s out of my 7rem mag at 2840 with a 22lb rig and this break and it kicks the same as my 7-08 with a Harrel...
I have been running a 7mm-08 for a few years. It has served me well and been a reliable shooter. While it is extremely good at everything it was a master of nothing. I have been shooting at TVP ever since I owned the rifle and have always enjoyed the Intimidator above all other match types...
I've got a Kreiger Heavy varmet 26" 8.5 5r twist chambered in 7mm Rem mag Tactical by Tom Sarver at TVP. The thing is an absoute hammer. Cold turkey I shot the intimidator with Tom yesterday and only needed the 3rd round to get onto target two times. For those of you that have shot that...
Is your manners stock bedded? Usually horizontal deviation like that is a result of a poor mating surface between action and stock. If I was you I'd go with the lighter load of the two pictured. Your not giving up enough speed to worry about it. Thank you for running these tests as I'm going...
