The production version has a longer forend with a different mounting type for the NV bridge, and a different internal weight.

Did you buy that rifle from Rex? That’s one of the first 5 Accuracy Obsession chassis prototypes I made.

Accuracy International - Alternative Barrel Clamp Torque Specs?

I've seen some pictures of de-bonded short action rifles that had epoxy on the wing(s) of the barrel tenon clamp. My theory is that if one of those wings were bonded to the chassis and essentially immovable, the torque needed would increase since only one half would be moving to clamp on the...

After the initial batch of AO chassis were made here, Vision in Norway started making them with a slightly different design to better integrate with his other chassis aesthetics and existing machining programs. While a Vision AXSR chassis would be cool, the ROI probably isn't there for how...

I've shot a few thousand rounds of 6GT using that magazine technique with only maybe 1 or 2 issues over a bunch of matches. My strategy is to always have a spare mag in a holster loaded with 10 rounds, in the event of a mag issue I just swap the mag on the clock.

Do you have the cheek piece lowered as far as it will go? With the adjustable butt pad you could maybe lower the cheekpiece and adjust the butt pad accordingly to gain some additional room for your head position. I also adjust my cheek piece laterally to the side to allow my head to come...

Biggest challenge is going to be properly aligning the action in the AT chassis when you bond it. When you bond an AX or AO chassis it has the side walls that hug the action and help align it, and you can confirm with how the barrel is centered in the forend. I believe AI uses some sort of...

Suddenly we've gone from "most reliable rifle in the world! 100k rounds of 308 through a 1997 AW!" to "I need 3 bolt assemblies to feel safe shooting 2000 rounds of 6 GT per year

    Accuracy International Picture Thread

Why are you guys feeling the need to buy 2 spare bolt assemblies? Even if you have 2 rifles it seems unlikely you'd have both go down at the same time and not be able to get one repaired/replaced by AI

Have you swapped the sticky bolt into the second rifle to confirm it's the bolt itself, and not the action or locking ring of the first rifle? Is it sticky with the firing pin assembly removed?

My Fix It Stick limiter is definitely the bottom to big daddy Snap On. The Wheeler fat wrench sits in the cuck chair and watches.

Who said I was being sarcastic? Clearly I struck a nerve with you and your Snap On torque wrenches. If you’d like to have a very serious and very grown up conversation on AI stuff let me know, otherwise I’ll be over here not worrying about the torque on my bonded rifle.

Agreed, and any time a gear issue affects a match result it's frustrating. I wonder why the current action screws are only 35 in-lb. I use 55 in-lb for all 4 action screws on the AT/AX/AO, which has the small diameter rear screws (near the trigger guard) and standard diameter screws at the...

I hope everyone now worries that whenever they have a single flier, maybe it's because they didn't torque their quick loc screw to exactly 54.3 in-lbs using a calibrated Snap On digital torque wrench. "It's definitely not YOU, it's THE SCREW" Funny, I've never worried about action screws or...
