Need help interpreting a load test

So quick update I went back out last Friday and retested the 47.1 and was able to get results pretty close to before. I shot three different groups this time with 5 shots. Velocity averaged around 2842fps a tad slower but still great. I then tested a group before and after with my suppressor...

Need help interpreting a load test

Funny you should mention the high node for the Amax. I also did a load workup for the Hornady 178 HBT (couldn't find the Amax at the time) same charges, brass, etc. at the same time. I didn't post those targets because the Berger 175's looked like they had better results. Now I might just go...

Need help interpreting a load test

Okay, I've been trying a new load using PP2000 which gives me awesome velocity. Upon looking at these results of course I'm tempted to go with 47.1 gr. Would this be considered to be at the bottom of a node? Or am I looking a this wrong? Looking at the last 4 targets all of these charge weights...

PRS Talk New Classification for the Series

^^^^^^This 10000%. Im going to be honest earlier this year I thought like the OP. I was new to PRS and ignorant. I showed up to my first prs match earlier this year down at war rifles, with a new bone stock rem 700 pcr just so I could compete in production. Looked around at all of the custom...

    Range Report Berger 6.5creedmoor ammo

I'm using the the 130 OTM Averaging 2775fps out of factory Rem 700 PCR 1:8 can't remember what I got for a ES. Used them at Gaurdian last month great results but I also had problems feeding from a polymer Magpul magazine. I also had no problems out of metal ai mags or my 5 rounder accurate mag...

    Remington 700 PCR questions

Curious where were you able to find the chassis and how much did it set you back. Last time I searched around I think I saw them eternally on back order at Brownell's or Midway. I've actually run mine with the stock trigger for production class at two comps so far and got about 500 rounds...

Wooden cheek riser? Yup, same guy. Squad 10. Don't want to post his name if he's not on the forum but a great guy to shoot with.

PRS Talk WAR rifles PRS match

Was this before or during the match? I will say this was my first official PRS match and what a way to get started. Saturday had to be the windiest day in Maryland ever. Mother Nature didn't give a D@mn at all. But I wet to get my feet wet, and yup I shot Production. Didn't mind it one bit...

PRS Talk better bullet selection for 308 win (right now using 178 ELDM at 2660fps)

Frank, I simply asked a question brother. Wasnt reading into shit, wasn't trying to poke holes. You're right, I didn't understand that's why I asked. I know it not always about comps but I am in this thread because it was about the .308 in PRS. and like I said I'm just getting into comps and...

PRS Talk better bullet selection for 308 win (right now using 178 ELDM at 2660fps)

I thought you couldn't go beyond 178's in the tactical division. This is my first year and I would've liked to shoot tactical using my.308 because its always been my go to with my load for 185 jugs but I thought 178 was the max weight. Did I read something wrong? I got a 6.5 instead to shoot in...
