    You should send them a fire formed case, a virgen case isn't gonna let the bullet slide in & out when you measure using the tool.

    The Lyman tool does open the flash hole up like a drill would & deburs the inside of the hole. You adjust how much you want to debur with the adjustable stop that hits the neck, just make sure they are trimmed.

    Those calibers make sense in regards to making the 3,100 fps rule most clubs have. I too am one of those last of the Mohicans who still shoot a 308.

    What type of match shooting do you have in mind? You can't shoot anything faster than 3,100fps in precision bolt rifle matches (tactical) in my neck of the woods, you'll destroy the steel out to about 400yds shooting that blazing fast bullet.

    The mini 14 reminds me of the old "boat saying" the happiest days were the first day when I bought it & the day I got rid of it! I shit canned mine. As for the brass I would reload it, it looks like my AK brass... No problems yet on its 4th load (probably its last)

    Ramshot True Blue fit the bill perfectly for my 9mm, 40sw,45acp & 5.7x28 so I chose other. It's a fine ball powder that meters awesome!

    Measuring runout on the cheap

    You can't measure run out with a caliper but if you get a harbor freight dial indicator and a V block you can measure run out. Just make sure the end of the case is against the magnetic base of the dial indicator. Pm me your # and ill send you a pic text of what I mean.
