    BAT Tactical

The BATs are smoother in my opinion because they are made a little tighter and the bolts are hand fitted to each action. I feel the hand fitting is probably the biggest plus. My surgeon are both pretty smooth once the ceracote started to wear of the bolt. I picked up a Deviant Templar...

    BAT Tactical

I have a lot of experience with the BAT VRPIC actions and the HRPIC actions. Both have intergal lug and rail. Very similar to the tactical action. First off with today's modern machinery and a lot of smart people in the gun world there are a lot of great actions available. To me some are...

Trouble necking down 300WM to 7mm with pics

Some will disagre but dont neck down more than .010 at a time. Thats alot of bushings but your brass will turn out perfect with no bulge at all I used a Redding comp micrometer die for my old APA 7/300 WSM. When I tried necking down more than .010 at a time I had issues. Once I solved the...

    260 vs 6.5x47 out to 1000 yards?

I really want to try a 6X47. I have the dies and a reamer I just have not done it. Mainly because of barrel life of the 6mm vs the 6.5. I have shot out 5 6XC barrels and I do not get the barrel life some do. But people have diffrent definitions of accuracy and when to pull a barrel. I have shot...

    260 vs 6.5x47 out to 1000 yards?

I fat fingered that!!! 2794 is my velocity. Im using a Bartlein Heavy Palma Barrel that is 26.5 inches long. Some guys run the 140 at 2750. Others run it at 2800. I dont think you should get it going over 2800 because if you shoot in the rain something is going to give

    260 vs 6.5x47 out to 1000 yards?

I currently am shooting a 6.5X47. It is the most accurate rifle that I have ever owned. I only shoot the 140 Berger Hybrids. It has shot groups in the .0s at 100 and I have shot several groups under 5 inches at 1000. The best group of my life was 2.75 at 1000 with this rifle. I run 37.1 grains...

    6mm XC project

This thread is about 6XC not the creedmore. Very nice group though. You definitly have a nice shooting rifle. Every single GAP rifle built that I have seen will shoot the 105 Hybids less than .25 moa with the 105 hybrids in the 6 creedmore though. Just sayin. Maybe your reamer is not set up...

    6mm XC project

A 6XC is a great round. I know nothing about the new remington action. But all smiths work with 700s and they make a great action when trued up properly. You will want to use a 8 twist barrel or faster. I always ran 8 twist with great luck. 105 hybrids are the best bullet made in 6mm IMO. That...

Most efficient muzzle brake for my 6x47L???

APA makes the best brakes IMO I use the Little bastard. The little Jimmy has a diffrent look but works equally as well. American Precision Arms

    Gradous 7STW

Love the rifle!!!! Stick you some better bullets in that thing so you can really see what it will do. If I were you I would look at the Berger 168 Classic Hunters. I know Robert runs 140 Vlds in his 7STW.

Range Report Ballistic AE .. what is it missing that you want..

Only time I have not seen it calculate is this senario.. You input current atmosphere and in the temperture/Mach window you did not let the temp covert to the mach number. (If you input 90.2 temp and it doesnt convert to the mach number it will not calculate)

    Gradous....He actually does build rifles!!!

Well I got to take my new rifle to K&M Precision Rifle Training to shoot one of their Panhandle Shooters Challenges. I was lucky enough to take 1st Place with the 6.5X47. Mark Rossett came in 2nd Place shooting his Gradous built 6XC. A HUGE THANK YOU ROBERT for building such fine rifles...

    6XC from APA kicks A$$ !!!

Ole Jered can build em, thats for sure. My XC from him was AMAZING!!! Just to try and give you a HUGE word of advice. If you are running 3160 with a 105.....SLOW IT BACK A 100 FPS. If it rains while shooting a 105 that fast you will be peircing/breaking stuff. I promise you that. I know from...

    7mm shooters - prepare to be f*cked!

While I had a 7/08 that shot thte 162s very good. Berger makes the best 7mm bullets on the market. For a big magnum a pointed 180 Hybrid is about impossible to beat. Accuracy, consistency, and raw b.c. are amazing. Can you shoot a 162 crazy fast and make it look great on paper......Yes Will...
