New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
Did you purchase the scope already? If not you can always purchase a commercial period Zielvier or Hensoldt scope to make it more correct. As far as mounts go, if you are trying to build a replica sniper there are several different variants:
-Low Turret
-High Turret
-Short Side Rail (3 types)...
Thanks pmclaine! Honestly I need to spend A LOT more time with all of them. I like them all for different reasons, and it is tough to choose just one. I think that the LSR is a great set up from a German engineered perspective. It offers the most comfortable "chin weld", and the mount/base...

Hey guys,
I picked this rifle up in 2014 as a byf 44 K-98k sporter off of Gunbroker in a cut down non matching walnut stock. It still had the holes and silver solder from the original high turret mounts and was an "h" block rifle which had a known production run of high turret snipers...
Hey pmclaine,
Yeah they are more of a DMR being only 1.5x. Mine is a reproduction but the price I got it for was too good to pass up. Depending on the price you may want to look into picking one of them up. Here is a little more about them...
