Hunting & Fishing Coyote hunting ammo - Sierra Prairie Enemy or ...?

So long story short, I hosted a PRS match on a neighbor's private land and owe him big. He won't accept cash or any sort of payback, I have already tried. So instead I am planning on buying him some ammo and dropping it off at his farm/shop. He can't refuse delivery if I ding dong ditch right? I...

    Zermatt Ti3

Very cool! I'm a huge ZA fan, and even though I'm not much of a hunter, I think this is a great addition to their lineup and will certainly appeal to many of their current and future customers.

Suppressors Disposing of the DIP Solution

I acknowledge the stuff is dangerous, but jeez some people need to relax! Wear the proper gloves, and handle with a little care and you'll be fine. Don't drink the stuff and don't go for a jog with an open container. I've used it countless times and simply pour all the leftover waste into a...

    RimX, PVA or Keystone?

Neither. I've been burned more than once by both of them. I know, slow learner here. Get a Proof pre-fit that's better and cheaper, or find a lesser known smith who actually gives a damn and will do it right. Also, precision rimfire is an endless rabbit hole. You won't know what your gun likes...

Can you compete/have precision and not reload?

Jump in! Ammo quality isn't as high on the list as you'd think when it comes to what makes a good PRS shooter. Target acquisition, trigger/recoil/rifle fundamentals, and building good positions are MUCH more important.

Some of the Rifles from the 2022 Hornady PRC

Cool pictures, thanks for posting. This match is on my bucket list, just a bad time of year for me

Rifle Competition Events Oregon Stay Center 5k

Do you donate items to prize tables? I’m just relaying into I get directly from the people who make these donations possible. If people would take things they’ll use/need that is 100% fine. But when you look only at max value and then sell said item, you’re part of the problem

Rifle Competition Events Oregon Stay Center 5k

Sounds interesting. Timing doesn't work out for me this year, but maybe in the future? As to the random draw prize table, I think it's a good thing. I host events too, and the the number one complaint I hear from sponsors is when people grab an item from the prize table just to sell it on...

What moa targets are used in 22nrl/prs type competitions?

For my PRS 22 matches I typically run 2-4 MOA targets depending on distance and the difficulty of the rest of the stage - time/prop/movement etc. 2-3 MOA on the closer stuff, and 3-4 MOA on the stuff beyond 200. Its a tricky balance to challenge the best shooters while not demoralizing the newer...

Rifle Scopes Gen 3 razor turret

False. My brother @ricksmunn was one of the earliest to get his scope, and as far as I know, also early to send it in for evaluation/repair. They basically sent it back saying everything was in spec, but the turrets did feel slightly better. They went from being TERRIBLE out of the box, to just...

    ++Bighorn TL3 Builds++

There is a slight difference in cocking effort due to different angles, but it is small. The bigger difference is swept vs straight bolt handles, integral lug, and AW mag options on the TL3. Both are great actions.

NEW From Zermatt Arms - RimX Actions

Wow, I am surprised to see the responses here. Between me and my shooting buddies we have 5 RimXs. Only 1 was purchased as a barreled action, and it was also the only one to have a problem. The other 4 have prefits from PVA (don't recommend), straight jacket, and proof. It really isn't hard to...

    Wet vs. Dry Tumbling

I tumble with SS for 45min-1hr. But I’ve done some batches up to 6hrs with no ill effects. So there must be some other variable that is causing problems for other people. Too little media? Water? Too much brass?

    Wet vs. Dry Tumbling

I hear the peened mouth comment a lot when the SS topic comes up. My question is this: don't you chamfer/deburr before loading anyway?

    Wet vs. Dry Tumbling

My man, you are doing more work than you have to. Get one of these and after tumbling, drain the majority of the dirty water out by gently tipping the tumbler into the sink. Fill the bottom of the separator about half full of water and set the open strainer inside. Dump the brass and whatever...

Shooting 50bmg/other braked rifles, TBI and tinnitus

I agree with you, ear pro is not something to take lightly. My point is that no matter what ear pro you use, no matter how good, there is NOTHING you can do to stop concussive hearing loss (bone conduction) except to reduce the source volume. Obviously the severity depends on the environment -...

Shooting 50bmg/other braked rifles, TBI and tinnitus

Do what you want, but hearing loss is permanent, so I’d rather shoot a gun I can handle, instead of use a brake that causes irreparable damage. Especialy 223-6.5mm. Really? https://www.cnas.org/publications/reports/protecting-warfighters-from-blast-injury...
