    25cm vs 6.5cm w/135’s

I know we talked about it in the 25gt thread. I saw the same pressure in my 25gt moving from the 131 to the 135. The Berger knocked 2 grains and 120fps off of my max.

    Favorite Wrist Coach?

You are swapping hands unless you’re running a gas gun. Strong side is already off the gun to run the bolt. Running the data on the strong side forearm would work pretty well, like @A&8's talked about. I might try that this week. totally agree with you that whatever you do it needs to be...

    Favorite Wrist Coach?

Just been my observations, top shooters gonna top shoot. The mid pack and new shooters are slowed down and typically put the dope on their support arm. When prone they transfer the butt into the strong hand to look at their dope. then they have to rebuild their position. very few of them keep...

    Favorite Wrist Coach?

I don’t shoot a lot of unknown distance. When I have I typically use a larger format dope card (it makes it easier to see the dope) and then transfer it to my rifle mounted dope holder, i don’t normally range when on the rifle. When I hunt I’ll tape a 3x5 card onto the side of the stock.

    Favorite Wrist Coach?

Short action Precision Stop using a wrist coach. it causes you to break your cheek weld / position and slows you down. I use this one because it’s inexpensive and flexible. But there are vendors who make fancy $100 ones to help satisfy any spending urges

    Neck Tension Issue

Do you anneal? is this virgin brass? What is the diameter of the neck when sized, when mandrelled, and when loaded. Whose mandrel is it, hwat material is it, what size bushing and what does the actual OD of the mandrel measure?

POLL: First Precision Rifle build - Which would you choose?

^^^^^^This advice is right on. I hear people all the time say they want to learn on a .308. They don’t. They often get frustrated and quit. If you want to play the Prs game you need to be able to make calls for yourself on the clock. They means seeing the Impact (hopefully) or seeing the splash...

    25GT revisited 11/2023

Been a while since I updated. I’ve put another 500 through the rifle in the last couple of months. First of all the Berger 135s have been super consistent base of ogive, and not to bad on OAL. Weight has also been super consistent. Bad news they seem to to create more pressure and to get my...

    How often do you clean

My gunsmith does my cleaning for me. He unscrews the dirty one and screws on a clean one. Seriously on a top tier cut rifle barrel I clean it prior to the first shoot, once at 100 rounds plus or minus just to make sure nothing is really weird. And then only if it gets wet or starts shooting...

I hate dry tumbling after resizing - what are the alternatives

I dry tumble to remove the sizing lube. I clear the flash hole with a universal recapping die when I prime on my Dillon. Works great and doesn’t cost any extra time.

Shoulder bump bushing die advice 6.5cm

I use the Redding type s bushing die, for bushing size, since your using a mandrel, measure a loaded case with you intended bras. And go .003-.004 less than that. I like coated bushings, but if you not loading a ton and are good with your lube the regular stainless will be fine. my son is using...

    Upgrading my bi pod

I ran that on my 419 arca lock rail. Worked great, locked up tight. The nice thing about it is the three position lever. the Biggest advantage is the ease of removal, if I have to dump the bipod, say after a prone shot, one flip of the lever and it’s gone.
