New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
Im getting an avg of 2875 fps with winchester creedmoor factory ammo and good accuracy to boot. The slight b.c. nudge going to the hornady amax factory ammo though. You shouldnt notice a difference inside say 800 yards on a calm day.
Question....will a dta 300wm bolt head only work for a gen2 308 bolt? Or is my only option the 1 piece bolt/body? Unsure if Im able to just replace the head on my current setup.
If youre close by North DFW youre more than welcome to shoot/fondle my DT srs. Its truely a work of art and shoots lights out. Im almost ready to purchase the 300wm conversion. This ones a gen 2 w monopod and 27" bbl chambered in 6.5 creed.
Great looking rifle Lrdchaos! Trust me..you will LOVE that stiller action. No bolt slop, locks up like a vault and super sexy. I wouldnt hesitate to buy another....or two!
Anyone have one of the older non HTI mounts they wanna part with? Maybe somebody has upgraded to the HTI and has the older one laying around? Help me out please.
Came across a lightly used what looks to be the older model DTA covert with a 16" 308 bbl. Chassis doesnt have the monopod but comes with a mag. Is $3k an ok asking price?
Thanks, Jeff
Mine wasnt as picky as your rifle was when testing. I did have some weird groups as well though. 43.2 looks like a high end node. Have you tried anything below 42.6? 41.2 and 41.8 shot well for me. Sure they werent screaming fast but I was after accuracy during development. The high bc of the...
I shoot them @ 2.830 which is .020 off in my creedmoor. 41.8 h4350 shot best for me. Never tried jumping more that .050 but might after reading this thread.
This is my exact thoughts as well. I ran one 2 years ago and sold the rifle. Had a new build and thought I liked them so much I'll pick up a new one. To my suprise it was $110 more than my previous one. I still bought it and enjoy it but will most likely consider something else if found back in...
As much as I want my rifle to like them It doesnt. I tried them in a series of different jumps and found they will only shoot .015 off in my rifle. Ive switched to the 136l's shooting .010 off. They shoot better for me in my rifle with less tweaking.
