Spotters Advice Needed: Vortex Razor Gen 2 vs Leupold SX-4 Pro Guide HD 2

I haven't gotten to play with the Leupold, but i am a fan of the Vortex. I like the helical focus and I find the glass to be good. I've spend a lot of time behind the Razor 27-60x85, so same glass different objective. for tripods I like manfrotto, but the Vortex carbon tripods have been nice if...

Rifle Scopes Optic that will handle 375 ruger recoil

Morning, I have a 375 Ruger myself. at the moment it has a 1.5-6x42 Schmidt i had in my safe. i would probably pick the scope based on the game and the location I was planning on hunting. Over the years i've set a lot of 375 h&h and 375 rugers up with around the same magnification range you...

Any Feedback on Swarovski DS2 5-25?

that sounds pretty cool. I'd love to know more about what your setting up. I've got two guys shooting them, one on a 28 nosler and one on a 300 win mag, with good luck so far, but the guy with the 300 has only shot it out to 500. I've used the swarovski ballistic app for the BT system for years...

Any Feedback on Swarovski DS2 5-25?

good evening, I don't have much so far, couple people I know running them have been pretty pleased so far. I don't know of anyone who has pushed it too far (750 yards iirc was max at that range) yet, but set up was pretty straight forward. Swarovski developed the first range finding rifle...

Rifle Scopes Deciding on deer rifle optic

out of the two, I'd go with the Razor https://cstactical.com/vortex-razor-lht-4-5-22x50-ffp-xlr-2-mrad-rzr-42202/?searchid=17305&search_query=razor+lht

    Rifle Scopes Too Close?

yeah looks fine. I think the old school thought was as long as you can slip a business card between the objective and the barrel/rail, good to go.

Vortex 2-10 PST vs 1-10 Razor

Morning, I think either scope would work on the platform. I run a couple 2.5-10's myself. that said, I always try to step up when I can, you never regret having better optics. Also have set up a couple AR10 platforms with that Razor 1-10 and I like it a lot. it's a good size, the 1x is handy...

    LPVO-second focal options

what budget are you working with? I'm a fan of second focal lpvo's myself. do you want adjustable dials? when you say an moa reticle with no bullet drop, do you mean just a plex style reticle or just a simple moa reticle?

Rifle Scopes NF 5-25 or 7-35

if poor lighting or close range moving shots is a concern, i'd probably lean 5-25, but if most of your shots are longer and you would benefit from more magnification, then the choice is the 7-35. Both have a good adjustment range, so that doesn't really matter. hard to go wrong either way...

Rifle Scopes 2.5-20x50 NX8 or 4-16x42 ATACR for 18” DMR

given the criteria, I would go with the 4-16, or heck go with the new atacr 4-20, your talking 1 inch longer and 5oz more on weight, get the good glass and 20x magnification. https://cstactical.com/nightforce-atacr-4-20x50-f1-mil-xt-reticle-c644/

Rifle Scopes 2.5-20x50 NX8 or 4-16x42 ATACR for 18” DMR

What are you doing with your rifle? Depending on the use, what would benefit you more? the better glass in the atacr, or the more versatile magnification range? I always tend to lean to investing in better glass, and you could always do an offset red dot for close range shots. that said, I ended...
