    Gear for 2-gun fun run

No doubt rucking gets you in better shape for these than pure running does. A lot of good runners come in and think they can sprint their way to victory. They usually end up hurting pretty bad because they don't carry weight in training. Similarly a lot of competitive shooters come in...

    Gear for 2-gun fun run

The OK RNG was my first. Very fun match. Drove from the east coast on a whim to give it a shot. Nearly stroked out in the summer heat. Anyone on the fence should just do it. Each match is a little bit different. Show up with what you've got and don't shoot yourself. Take it slow if you're...

    Gear for 2-gun fun run

"The Gun Run" in SC is in 2 weeks. Legion 9/11 memorial is September in TN. ETA: https://thegunrun.us/pages/race-list The Oklahoma race is a good one also. Just be prepared for heat.

    Gear for 2-gun fun run

Which event are you doing? I've run around 12 of these since 2015 ranging from 5k to 15 miles. They frequently include some type of obstacles, man-made or natural, that will test your gear. Highly recommend a Safariland ALS holster for your pistol. I would not trust an open top rig with the...

CZ 452 - Accuracy problems and expectations

I decided to redo the bedding on the stock. I dremeled out the old stuff and did a much better job this time. Glued the recoil lug in place and bedded that first. Once I had that secured I did the rest of the action/stock: I was able to retest using the same Geco bolt ammo and I'm now...

Rifle Scopes Is this the new budget scope to beat? SWFA is on notice!

Thanks for posting. I'd assume it's even more usable than your pic indicates, which looks like it'll be enough for short range ground shots. I was looking at the Talos BTR but this may be better

Rifle Scopes Is this the new budget scope to beat? SWFA is on notice!

How does it look at 3-4x? Is it usable in the woods and visible?

Rifle Scopes Is this the new budget scope to beat? SWFA is on notice!

How usable is the reticle on low mag? I'm considering one of these for a 22 that'll do a fair amount of small game hunting. Any hope of seeing it in the woods on ~3-4x

Rifle Scopes Rimfire small game scope - Bushnell Nitro?

I've been wanting a decent adjustable paralax scope for my 22. Rifle sees use plinking out to 200 yards and lots squirrel hunting. Currently it wears a Weaver 3-10 SFP Mil Dot scope which is great, but has fixed 100yd paralax. Not a problem in the woods but sucks for short range plinking...

Rifle Scopes NightForce 2.5-10X42 with Mildot Reticle Something Special?

I have an NXS 2.5-10x32 Mil Dot I considered the Mil-R reticle but it was difficult to read quickly. I imagine its easier to read at 14 or 15x. A plain old mil dot is enough for a general purpose scope, which is what I think the the 2.5-10 excels at being.

CZ 452 - Accuracy problems and expectations

Thanks, I Googled and learned. I slugged the bore in both directions. From the muzzle: tight getting it started and then it almost immediately opened up and was easy to push through. I encountered a slight increase in resistance just before the chamber. From the chamber: similar...

CZ 452 - Accuracy problems and expectations

Understood on the ammo. I'm not expecting match-grade results from sub-par ammo, but I am expecting better than 3MOA. I'm definitely no expert on crowns but I don't see any obvious problems here. Please tell me if you disagree.

CZ 452 - Accuracy problems and expectations

I haven't tried it with any true premium ammo. I don't have any on hand but I wouldn't be opposed to buying some for a fair test. Mean radius is a helpful tool for evaluating groups. Calculate the theoretical center of a group and then measure the radius, or distance from center, to each...

CZ 452 - Accuracy problems and expectations

Greetings all, Back when CZ brought out the 455 I decided to snag one of the last 452 Americans I could find in stock. It sat mostly unused except for the occasional squirrel hunt. I noticed that it never seemed to group quite as well as my 452 Lux. Last fall I had it cut to 18" and threaded...

Suppressors QuietBore 22LR Titanium Suppressor Build Review -***Approved Form 1 Required***

I've been using the CCI clean blue poly subs in my M&P 15-22 with no issues. Also shot 50 rounds of CCI Suppressor 45gr HPs with no malfunctions. These were surprisingly accurate. The Winchester 45gr solids functioned well but had garbage accuracy. Even from a 15-22

Suppressors QuietBore 22LR Titanium Suppressor Build Review -***Approved Form 1 Required***

The point is that the shim comes out with the baffles, and then unrolls so it doesn't matter how much buildup there is. Similar to the Sico rimfire can

Suppressors QuietBore 22LR Titanium Suppressor Build Review -***Approved Form 1 Required***

My Form1 was approved and I finished my can. I noticed that the baffles were quite loose in the tube with ~.010-.012" of diametric clearance. I cut a sheet of steel shim stock the length of the can and rolled it around the baffles. A little tricky at first to get everything assembled but...

So how did you cut the baffles? Some kind of jig and a drill press?
