    Update- (3/31/23)- What Red dot for 11.5” SBR?

    I don’t know about cold weather and would rather buy American BUT Aaron Cowan of Sage Dynamics, beats the HELL out of Holosun and they seem to hold up. I’m hoping Aimpoint hurried up with that duty optic.

    I have a PRO on mine because it’s what I had. I plan to change to one of the Holosun offerings or to the new generic aim point micro when it is released.

    44 Magnum w/W231 and 180gr XTP

    One of my plinking loads is 5.5grs. of W231 and a 240gr ACME SWC seated to the front edge of the bullet. Goes 832 fps / ES 15 / SD 6 looks funny but is accurate as hell. The Unique loads shoot good but I haven’t tried it with my progressive press so I have to give it another look.

    I went to the NHRA races in Memphis in 1988-1989. If you could put a muffler on them, they would be rattling, haha Saw them pouring gear oil in the engine blocks.

    Thank you. One reason I went with 231 in this load is to avoid the flash of other powders. I have loaded this bullet with H110/296 and it is awesome but puts on a light show. Haha

    My Grandfather owned a LARGE body shop and car repair in Memphis in the 40-50s. Car dealer sold him a lemon car, he painted the entire car like a lemon and in big letters told everyone why.

    What height rings for BMR

    The scope is a Vortex Strike 4x24x50. Model number is SE1627 I think. They are on clearance for 299.99 at Europtic This is what I wound up with. There is less than 1/8 inch clearance with barrel. Just enough for flip up caps.
