    Elite Iron bipods?

Absolutely love them. I have the steel version on an AXMC 300WM and have the Atlas 5H on a MK13 mod7. I do also have Atlas CAL Gen II, Atlas PSR, and Atlas V8. The Atlas CAL Gen II is awesome and I’ll most likely end up with another if I don’t decide to try the TBAC bipod. For any type of...

    Weird dent in rifle case?

Without knowing anything about your set up other than it’s a 300 RUM and you’ve only provided information showing two cases having dents in the same area, I have three questions. Is this dent showing up on every cartridge you fire through it or just these two? Are you shooting suppressed...

Rifle Scopes **Update** How much chromatic aberration is accceptable in a Steiner T5Xi?

It comes down to how well the rifle/scope height fits you and how much CA you can handle personally. While the T5Xi does exhibit CA, I would call that amount of CA above normal but then again, I dont have your scope to compare to mine. There have been many reports of some of them having much...

Rifle Scopes Just ordered a Steiner P4Xi 4-16x56 - SCR from Camera Land for $799.99

I think you’ll be happy with it. It’s a solid scope and for the current price, it’s a steal. I’ve had mine on a 308 for 6 months now. I shoot steel out to 1,100 yards with it and the P4Xi has performed flawlessly. Some don’t like the stiffness of the elevation turret, I actually prefer it. It is...

Rifle Scopes Vortex Razor HD Gen ii. Best in its price range?

The difference is easily seen on paper as well as in hand. Different magnification range and 56mm objective.

Rifle Scopes Vortex Razor HD Gen ii. Best in its price range?

Currently, my Gen II Razor is mounted to a 300WM. From bore sighting, it took a total of 5 shots to zero and confirm. If I measure 1.45 mil in the reticle, I turn the internal adjustment 1.45 mil, I get 1.45 mil of movement. Every time. The internal markings are not a suggestion, rather a...

Rifle Scopes Vortex Razor HD Gen ii. Best in its price range?

@Hollywood 6mm b6graham summed it up very well. In addition, I have a fair amount of time using two different XRS2’s next to my Razor. My experiences are opposite. I personally was not impressed by the XRS2. 75 yard minimum parallax with the XRS2 4.5-30x50 vs 32 yards with Gen II Razor...

Rifle Scopes Vortex Razor HD Gen ii. Best in its price range?

Fair enough, but it does not make those optics any better.

Rifle Scopes Vortex Razor HD Gen ii. Best in its price range?

For that price, I can’t see any reason to take a different route over the Gen II Razor. I’ve had the 3-18 in the past and currently have a 4.5-27. For most of the uses for the rifle it’s on, it has been perfect. Tracking is spot on as far as I’ve tested it to 18 mils and returns to zero every...

Rifle Scopes My insight on the new eotech vudus

Thanks for taking the time to write this up. You have covered most of what I was curious about concerning the Vudu vs Gen 2 Razor. Funny that you post this today as I just ordered the 5-25 MD3 yesterday and have been wondering how it stacks up. Based on the limited reviews, it sure looks to be a...

Rifle Scopes Any Negatives to the MSR reticle?

I do not currently have an optic with the MSR but have used a few in the past so here’s my take. I loved it and as of late 2017, I had planned to base all of my following optic purchases on the MSR reticle wether it be Steiner, S&B, or Kahles. It’s a damn good reticle with only a few drawbacks...

    Hang Fast Targets FTW

I agree with all above statements. I have 20 of the Fail Safe target hangers and have not found a better system for my needs yet. Quick and simple to set up, provide excellent sound and movement feedback as well as holding up to impact well.

Rifle Scopes Spuhr Mount, Oil on Rail (Base) ?

I always spray Hornady OneShot Gun Cleaner & Lube across the bearing surface of the picatinny rail before I attach any mount for the exact reason @morganlamprecht has outlined. Hornady OneShot does not leave an oily residue to collect dust or creep out later on.

    Rifle Scopes Pm2 3-27x56 vs Steiner m7ix 4-28x56

The M7Xi does not disappoint under any light condition that I’ve had it in so far. Brightest of days to heavily overcast, twilight or dusk, it is quite impressive.

Rifle Scopes Steiner P4xi scope mount options?

That definitely changes the approach. I recommend Spuhr 4602 or Really Right Stuff Uni-Block if your budget allows.
