So I have been wanting another scope to float around on a couple AR10s one is a 6.5CM and the other one is 308. I found this Steiner P4Xi 4-16x56 it will mostly be used for shooting steel out to 600yds and maybe for deer and hog hunting for what seems like a helluva deal anyone got any experience with this scope?

Yea, its a pretty good deal. The Athlon Ares are a really good deal right now too. I would expect the Steiner to be more durable. Just speculation though. I liked and used them both, several of the Ares and only one of the Steiner.

I think you’ll be happy with it. It’s a solid scope and for the current price, it’s a steal. I’ve had mine on a 308 for 6 months now. I shoot steel out to 1,100 yards with it and the P4Xi has performed flawlessly. Some don’t like the stiffness of the elevation turret, I actually prefer it. It is audible, very crisp with no slop. Definitely not getting spun accidentally. I have been using a T5Xi 5-25 SCR for a couple years now and as far as image quality is concerned, the P4Xi SCR edges out the T5Xi in the 5-16x range. Less CA, slightly better resolution and contrast as well as handling low light better at the same magnifications.

I have more rifles than scopes so I play "musical scopes" between rifles I have a couple top tier scopes, but I think I am going to dedicate my S&B PMII to my new 338 Lapua for a while so that takes a scope out of the rotation and I was needing a new less expensive fill in. I think this scope will work great for the AR platform.

Does the model on sale from cameraland have a zero stop? Thinking of ordering one but can’t find anything saying it does. Trying to choose between this and a used Nightforce SHV F1 4-5-14
