    18" 6 creed shooting 58gr Vmax at a touch over 3800fps. It's one of the most destructive pdog rifle/load combo I have currently. I shot one yesterday at a bit over 200 yards and honestly there were parts and pieces everywhere in a 25' radius around it.

    Slow 308

    I really like bullets in 125-130gr range in 308 for killing things at closer range. I shooting 125gr Sierra Game Changers in one of my 20" 308s. I'll have my kids out this summer with it shooting pdogs.

    +1 22 creed with a magnum powder and heavier bullets. My 26" 22 creed is doing 3225fps with an 85.5gr and N565. If you don't use slower powders for other things and your more in the Varget to h4350 range the 22 BR/BRA/Dasher with 80-90s might be a better fit

    Shortest Barrel for 308

    What do you want to do with it? My current bolt action 308s are 20" and am pretty happy with performance out to 800 yards. 16" isn't unreasonable for a 308. Ultimate Reloader did an episode comparing 308s with a 16" and 24" barrel that was fairly interesting.
