New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
I emailed Sporting Services in the UK (AI distributor to the world ex NA) last week and they knew nothing about the new rails and would look into it. I have had no word back!
I think it has something to do with securing enough orders, to secure the $$ and go ahead from the companies directors, creditors & shareholders to mass produce the things. No doubt it costs allot to tool up, train staff etc. to make these things but also there need to be a qunatifiable...
That would be fantastic. A comparison photo side by side with the OEM rail would also be nice.
I'm going to run a Spuhr SP-4001 with a Vortex Razor Gen2 4.5-27x56 and Adamount flipups. Your rail should bring it all down just nicely; I just hope I can get one to Australia :)
Cheers
Dan
NK have pretty strict dealership arrangements; in particular regards to the warranty. If you think the warranty is important buy through Kestrelmeters.com.au you will pay an extra $200 for and 4500 AB BT here. If your willing to run the warranty gauntlet plenty of choices in the USA or flea bay.
The importer says its all kosher. Apparently of the first batch of delivered AT's the barrels which were threaded were like mine (without flat & misaligned proof marks).
The proof will be in the shooting :) happy days
Because it has proof marks doesn't mean its a LW barrel. It could be an older Border Barrel or Maddco. I'm not sure when they started using LW barrels? The latest run have the obvious milled flat for the AXMC and the AT models. The barrel delivered on my AT came from Sporting Services in the UK...
Has everyone's AT that's been delivered with a factory barrel, come without a flat milled in? Just asking because my 24inch barrel doesn't have one. Also the proof marks don't line up (in the normal spot) on the right hand side of the stock. Makes me think it might not be a Lothar Walthar or one...
I had a look at mine today for the first time. I have to wait a few weeks for the paperwork :(
Any one find the pistol grip a little short?
My pinky is only just on and that's without gloves; bigger than average hands I guess! Would the Victor Company skins have a larger/longer pistol grip?
