Ended up grabbing a 2moa Aimpoint, and have now had a few outings with it. Mounted on Spuhr rings, just infront of the elevation turrent. Honestly loving it, and I have spent enough money on shit that hasn't worked out before to let the $$$ just make me like it...... Don't rule out trying it...

Magnification for 22lr precision shooting at 100yds.

You will never need x3, but 25 may come in handy at times. Cheers Pete

    737R reaction rod needed?

Mate, wait and get the wrench..... How pissed will you be if something slips/torques. Do you know the ft/ib's that the current barrel has been torqued to? Just so many possible bad endings to this scenaro, OR you could get lucky..... For me, I'd 100% wait cheers Pete

    737R reaction rod needed?

Is this a joke, that we in the southern hemisphere do not undetstand? Cheers Pete

    Red Dot

Hi mtruong, thanks for your input and it is exactly what I am seeking. Obviously a lot of peoples opinions are it is an unnecessary extra step / practice more acquiring your target over your optic / scope power setting. Ultimately if there was ONE best way of doing things, we would all...

    Red Dot

Thanks Jefe, not wanting it for actual sighting, only to place the target within the FOV of the scope as quickly as possible. Cheers Pete

    2020 PRS Finale info

I think there is a difference regarding helping someone who is trying to improve/learn the game..... To someone that is genuinely competing for position. It is a competition, that should always be one of respect and good humour, as such why not work your own wind call out? What's the big deal...

    Red Dot

Mate, appreciate the time that must have taken you and the advice. Can you offer any other information regarding the subject? Yes, I may be left only with that option, though it will be a balancing act to set it for distance and still read my turrents. Once again, yes many people do this or...

    Red Dot

Question: If you were to use a scope mounted red dot sight to assist in initial target acquisition, what MOA would be recommended? Not totally sold on the idea, but I can pick-up an aimpoint (2moa) cheap and move it on with no loss if needed. I have seen it discussed before to varying degree's...

    Rifle Position / Collar Bone

Thanks for the feedback. Actually have what would be consider higher rings already (38mm). For the very reason you stated. Looks like I will need to give this a serious try. Cheers Pete

    Rifle Position / Collar Bone

Anybody have any feedback regarding placing the rifle butt closer to the centre line of your body, as per some of the Scott Satterlee / Phil V instructional vids? Rather than the traditional shoulder pocket position...... Going to give it a go either way, but just playing around dry firing it...

    Uncapped windage

I just purchased two of your scopes, nothing wrong with the locking mech on the scopes. Solid set-up. My view, leave what you have. Pete

Rifle Scopes New March FFP 5-42x56 High Master FML-TR1 preliminary review

I believe some of these suggestions have been made by much more knowledgeable and accomplished shooters than myself. I'm just waiting 'impatiently" for the 4.5 x 28, as I will 100% be looking hard at it. Honestly probably jumped at the 5 x 42 due to impatience, as it was never really meant for...

Rifle Scopes New March FFP 5-42x56 High Master FML-TR1 preliminary review

Hi Deny's, I too already have the 5 x 40....... the 5 x 42 I found to be a great scope, just my opinion that it could have have even be better if Deon had tried to do less with it. Pete

Rifle Scopes New March FFP 5-42x56 High Master FML-TR1 preliminary review

Further to add, I don't need 40mils, I just wonder what is sacrificed internally to give this adjustment. I have owned 4 March scopes, and will more than likely own more. Great company, just wish they would not try and do too much. Everything is a balance, you give more of something, another...

Rifle Scopes New March FFP 5-42x56 High Master FML-TR1 preliminary review

Locking parallex, locking elevation and the excessive multiplier mag range..... Avoid giving 40mils of adjustment, and then say if you use it, well just don't, because it isn't meant to be....... Pete

Rifle Scopes New March FFP 5-42x56 High Master FML-TR1 preliminary review

Poorly, March have tried to do to much unnecessary crap with this scope. Plenty to like, but they have over complicated things wanting to include every thought possible and it has actually worked in reverse for them. It's a shame, there standards are awesome regarding quality etc They have...

    Bighorn action is sloppy...help

Tom Platz "Mr Legs" was often asked how he performed his squats, due to his phenomenal leg development.... His reply wss that he addressed the bar squarely, lowered himself down and then stood back up / repeat. There was no secret, or anything special that he did. Running a Bighorn action...
