    I always put a dab or red loctite on the barrel threads and torque it snug. Nothing crazy. When it’s time to remove for barrel swap or whatever, a pencil torch for a minute or two will allow you to spin it off easily.

    Yep, some plates might not fit or be extremely tight because of their thickness but you buy played that correspond with carrier size. Buy the size you need that will appropriately cover your vitals.

    A window unit would be a better/cheaper option imo. I would also get a decent gauge to monitor humidity and temp in the room. You might have to also run a small dehumidifier for the area, that will make it feel even more comfortable.
