    Thanks. Tried that. My other mags spec out to .425ish. I went went down to .408 ave still the same result. My thoughts are its the spring. Its attached like a z. So most of the force is in the front of the follower. It appears you can move the spring back.. but of course who ever built...

    I just bought a few new mags as my other mags were getting old. One of the mags is having trouble feeding. The back of the round gets stuck, usually the 3rd or 4th round. This causes the bolt to not pick up the round. The other rounds feed fine. Ive checked the feed lips and they are all...

    Thanks all very helpful. Follow up question. If you asked for a .22 rifle threaded for 1/2x28 would you assume it would be the shorter thread? Noticed in the two documents it's listed as .500x28 and 1/2-28 for the centerfire.

    Are the threads on .22's generally shorter than on CF rifles? Looking at all my .22's they are about 1/4 shorter than say the threads on my .223 rifle. If so is there an industry standard?

    M24 vs med palma

    My first two rifles were m24 barrels. The next 4 were medium palma (or marksmen) I find the rifle to balance better and no difference in long strings of fire. The rifle I'm putting together now is gonna be another medium palma.

    You'll have to do your own ammo testing. Its funny cause I have the exact opposite experience that Kansas has. Where Center-x has been the best shooting across 2 rifles. I'd buy a box each of the match grade stuff and see what your rifle likes, Eley, Lapua, RWS, SK, etc. Shoot a group or two...

    So far it's been good. I'll go out again in a week or two and shoot some more and get some groups up with various ammo.
