What Would You Do?? Armalite AR-10 Super SASS vs. SA M1A w/ Troy Chassis

The one I turned down was the M1A (crappy cell phone photo below) Reason: Heavy Heavy Heavy Low Magnification Scope Seemed involved and difficult to clean Post Ban w/ Several Non-USGI Parts The one I know own and plan to keep, the Armalite AR-10(T) Super SASS w/ prop mags. Reason: Very...

What Would You Do?? Armalite AR-10 Super SASS vs. SA M1A w/ Troy Chassis

Don't forget they are both professionally multicam hydrodipped, including the cerekote base finish. So classic look is out of the question on the M1A.

What Would You Do?? Armalite AR-10 Super SASS vs. SA M1A w/ Troy Chassis

He does not have the original M1A stock, the Super SASS is the Armalite Mag version. My main accuracy stick is a DTA Covert with .308/.338LM/.338BR and soon to be .510Whisper barrels so this one will pretty much be a toy.

What Would You Do?? Armalite AR-10 Super SASS vs. SA M1A w/ Troy Chassis

A customer owes me some cash and instead of the cash he has offered up one of the following: #1 Brand New Armalite Super SASS with Leupold M4 and 10 extra Mags. Rifle has been professionally multicam dipped. #2 Brand New SA M1A Super Match w/ Troy Chassis (not sure which one yet) and 10...

Is 12MOA windage (48 clicks) out of the ordinary to adjust for .308WIN barrel from my .338LM barrel zero? The elevation was 5MOA which I had to hold off due to the zero stop. I have not swapped barrels and tried to repeat yet.

    Pelican vs pelican storm: VOTE

To be honest I had never heard of the Pelican Storm (didn't realize it was different) but that is what I got when I ordered my DTA SRS case from EuroOptic. I am AMAZED at the quality of this case. Hands down the nicest case and foam I have ever owned.

I'm in for this also, my DTA is pretty dialed in except the trigger has a pretty long travel. I would like to adjust the travel and the weight. I am here to tell anyone that turns down a good deal on a Gen1 just because you HAVE to have a A1 or a Gen2 that you are a FOOOOOL! I love my Gen1...

I just bought one of the demo barrels from SAC, a factory DTA 22" .308. Can anyone give me an idea of elevation adjustment to get my group close to center if my scope is correctly sighted in for .338LM right now?

This is true, but with the .338LM subsonics costing $6.00 a shot in factory form, I am happy to have a dedicated .338BR barrel that throws the same bullet at 50fps faster (but still subsonic) and only uses 13.5 gr of 2400. The initial barrel, brass and dies investiment will be made up in the...

It is a Gemtech PSR-T .338 can. They only released about 200 to the public before they went US Military sales only with them. It is a great can but the muzzle breaks are $400/each. :-(

The DTA has a new warm bed thanks to Alex at EuroOptic. Ordered at 6pm on Monday and was at the shop by COB on Wed....wow! Biffj, you will notice the foam kicks ass compared to the foam you hate in your case.

If I remember correctly it was $195.00 plus shipping for the skins, the receiver and the mount/rings in ATACS. I think I put it in the original post a couple pages up. To be honest I quit adding up the cash when I hit the $8k mark.... :(

Thanks Troutfarm! Two Brothers did a great job. I am thinking about sending the .338BR barrel to them to be coated in either FDE or ODG. They quoted me $55 plus shipping. Here is the difference: Factory ODG (BEFORE): Two Brothers ATACS (AFTER):

Finally done!! Here it is in .338LM configuration. Pics of it in .338BR configuration coming soon. Sighted it in at 100yds today and then ran it out to 300yds on about 10" steels and it was boringly accurate. Thanks to biffj for putting it all back together for me after the hydro dipping!!

If that's the main reason I'll stick with what I have. Lighter isn't exactly what I want in a rifle when shooting full power 300gr .338LM. As for AR15.com, I am banned from there because people tended to make dumb ass comments about posts (like when I stated a logical opinion) and I called...

I like the A1 buttpad in theory (although I have not tried it in person) and I like the A1 cheek rest option in theory (although I have not tried it in person) but I don't get how the modular forearm rail is seen as an upgrade, especially the bottom rail. I am never going to hold the rifle...

+1 on all the above. Especially Russ, he has helped me through a ton of newbie DTA shit. Both while he was "on duty" and "off". You got a good employee in him ney1.

Had an excellent response today from DTA warranty department. They are swapping the extension that doesn't work for a new one and they are replacing FOR FREE a couple very small parts that I admitted losing and OFFERED TO PAY FOR!! My ATACS "Lights Out" DTA Gen1 Covert should be done next week!!!
