1 WEEK LEFT: This Target Haunts Me Contest
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
Pretty sure your not going to find any measurable discounting on them. I went with Triad Tactical because Steve is a rock solid dude that will take care of you should you have any issues.
A wise man once told me "two is better than one". I did this when I bought my DTA. I thought having one multi-cal rifle and one optic would be great and almost frugal. Well, I was wrong. My DTA is now my 338 Lapua and I bought an AIAT for my competition/short action rig.
I think you must...
I went from 6.5cm to 6xc last fall and have one match under my belt with it. To find a load was simple. To find the brass was simple, to stay on target was simple. Only downfall is identifying hits past 800. Hits on steel and dirt were much easier with the 140's compared to 105's. I also didn't...
I'm a big fan of Short Action Customs. They've done a full build for me as well as multiple barrels and all have been great. They are also very familiar with the Mausingfield.
I have about 2k through my FNX without one malfunction (about 500 of which have been suppressed). Love it and mates well with my osprey. Not a huge fan of the trigger, but it's the ultimate combat pistol if one exists.
So, I have recently received my Osprey 45, Specwar 762 and Specwar 556. I chose these products with the help of a member - Buckeye308 here in the "hide". He also sells many other brands. Working with him was simple and his advice great.
My bolt gun carries the Specwar 762 and is performing...
Quick update: got about 300 rounds down range. Added the Specwar 7.62 and shot a five shot group after a 5 round warm up to figure out any POI shift (minimal at best). This was a five shot group prone with rear bag at 100 yards. Factory 168 FGM. I am no great marksman, but wanted to share the...
Mark, Andrew and Dan at Short Action Customs (SAC) in Ohio.
They always return my calls, work very transparently and built the rifle of my dreams. If you don't at least talk with them, you're doing yourself a disservice.
I am left eye dominate right handed. Always shot left handed with right hand rifles. Finally got the funds to build my dream rifle and went with a Short Action Customs lefty. Going forward I will never use another builder nor will I ever buy right handed rifles - FACT!
I want to share a little about my first custom rifle.
Over a year ago I started contemplating a precision rifle. I took a somewhat deep dive in learning about builders and different builds (semi/bolt). I knew all along I wanted a 308 as my first precision rifle.
The first thing I did was join...
I own a RRA elite car. It has, at the very least 2K through it with probably 500 suppressed. I have changed only the gas block to a Micro Moa Govnah. It has not had any sort of failure. Not one!
My first choice is my FNX Tactical and second would be G21. I ever had any kind of failure in these two which I cannot say for my P220 (just twice, but that's two more than the others.
This is my third post in "The Hide", so take it for what it's worth. I own a G21, P220 and 2HK's. Last summer I bought the FNX tactical and have put at the very least 1k in rounds through it without a blink. Every kind of ammo I can get my hands on, but generally Winchester whitebox and Blazer...
