Suppressors first round pop
I would be very surprised if a faster burning powder reduced FRP. Even if you reach 100% burn there are still by products from the powder than can ignite. The only way to control FRP is to have a suppressor that is designed to not have it. Pistol and subsonic cartridges may be more prone to FRP...- kurtispalu

Day Pack Recommendations?
I use a Mystery Ranch Sawtooth 45. Really like the guide lite frame, allows you to bring a quarter or more out with the first trip. Then drop all your stuff and act like a packframe for the rest. Yes, I run shorter barrels on my hunting rifles. My 7 mag is 22". Everyone, including myselft at times counts ounces way to much. The Magnus CB weighs 14.8oz, the Dominus CB weighs 9.6oz. IMHO those 5 oz are worth it just because of the reduced recoil. Being able to spot impact on the animal is...- kurtispalu

I've always ran a Dominus or Ultra 7 on my 7 rem mag. After developing/shooting the Magnus I doubt I'll every put anything but that on my 7 mag. Sound suppression is one thing, the recoil mitigation of the Magnus is phenominal on my 7 mag.- kurtispalu

Titanium is a lot tougher than people think. It does surprisingly well with abraision. The surge cycles actually show how tough titanium can be if the suppressor is designed properly. Mountain goat was one of the best hunts I've every had. I through up a hail mary before I moved to Wyoming and drew a nanny tag on 3 points. 24L w anvil 30. I'm 6'0" and have used that tripod for everything from backpack hunting to PRS style matches. I drew a CO mountain goat tag last year and used it for scouting and hunting. If we zoom in a litte further we can see peak values for the impact/ignition. The firing pin impacts are noted on the plot. Live ammo, spent case and primed case all hit at roughly the same time.
