Dpms sass g2 gas piston conversion

Why do you say that? Will the weight of the moving parts degrade accuracy? The only reason I posted this is because I would like to keep the chamber as clean as possible.

SR25 vs GAP 10 for long range precision?

    Still worth it. haha

SR25 vs GAP 10 for long range precision?

I would love to shoot there. Looks like a fantastic place to shoot. 16x20 is a rather large target. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt on that one. Bradu I'm not saying 308 is a bad round. I have a sako trg22 in 308 that shoots fantastic. I don't shoot it anymore because a savage of all...

SR25 vs GAP 10 for long range precision?

Just so we can all understand how good a shooter you are why don't you clarify what size targets you are hitting 100% of the time at 875 with a 13" barrel and 50% of the time at 1000. A 13" barell in 308 is more of a flame thrower then a long range gun.

SR25 vs GAP 10 for long range precision?

Precision shooting out to1100 yards with a 308 is a stretch even with a bolt action. Realistically 750 yards is the limit for high probability hits. If there's no wind you can stretch that out a bit further. If you want to shoot 1100 yards with any kind of precision you will need to go to...

Dpms sass g2 gas piston conversion

Anyone have experience doing a gas piston swap into the dpms sass? If so was it worth it and what's the best or a good parts list to use?

m1a accuracy expectations to help decide optic.

Sounds like a fun challenge. I kinda assumed for the 1700 ish retail they would have quality barrels. O well. Guess i wont need anything to fancy for an optic at least. =) stoking it to see what its worth is part of the fun.

m1a accuracy expectations to help decide optic.

I have a springfield m1a standard on order in a jae stock.most of my experience is with bolt action and ar style semi auto in tactical style shooting. I have optics ranging from a kahles 624i for my sako trg to a holographic on an ar to weaver fixed 36 on a bench rest rifle. Im trying to decide...

    .260/6.5 CM advice needed

1000 yard range from your house... im jealous. Put the time in anf find out for yourself. Jerk. Haha kidding. I have great results out to 750ish with my ctr-02 in 223. I say try it and build a bolt action as your abilities improve

Sidearms & Scatterguns Are my sights the problem on my Glock?

I would have someone else shoot it just to verify results. You could also put the pistol in a vise with soft jaws. Level the top of the slide and compare the sights to verify what you have. Assuming the top if slide is parallel with the bore. Just read your post about being even higher at 50...

    JP Enterprises vs. Larue Tactical

I cant comment on the larue but my jp ctr-02 shoots exceptional. I recently participated in a black hat sniper training in which they do a usmc unknown distance challenge with half size targets out to 750 yards. I had no trouble hitting the targets in either of the timed courses. 223 doesn't...

Expose: The Man who killed Osama Bin Laden

My family is better taken care of because I became a local 420 steamfitter then had I been a seal apparently. Its truly disgusting to read about how our government treats its heroes.

What to do ---- new .223 Bolt Action.

Traav.. how is brass life pushing the 80 grainers that fast? I realize its 223 ai. Do the primer pockets stay tight for many firings?

What to do ---- new .223 Bolt Action.

If conditions arent perfect and you cant see splash from your misses youll likely get frustrated from tossing rounds down range blindly. There are better ways to do it. If your going to spend the money. Do it right.

What to do ---- new .223 Bolt Action.

Neither for 1000. Both will have a ton of wind deflection. 750 and under I would use them. Otherwise there are better choices. My experience is heavy 223 bullets need to b pushed so hard that you will be going through brass like crazy.

    308 Gasgun coal.

I wouldn't load shorter then the standard length for that weight bullet. Pressures can go up signicantly. Besides. Most factory guns will have a long throat. Probably a waste of time anyway. For me 168s at 2.8 are hard to beat.

    trouble hitting past 400 yards

Assuming your shooting a quality rifle hits on your stated 24" target at 400 yards should be no trouble at all with quality match ammo. Ex black hills or federal gold. Whats the make and model of your rifle and twist rate? My guess is you just need more range time to hone your skills. You could...

    Rifle Scopes Kahles K624i

I absolutely love my 624i with msr-k reticle. The parallax knob seems a little odd but once you use it it becomes Second nature and actually makes sense. As far as ruggedness I haven't had any trouble but haven't been hard on it. Seems well built

    Best Sub-$1000 custom action?

In the tactical world the shooter is the most important part. I have a friend that is top 5 in the mason dixon sniper series and he runs a dam near worn out savage 10 action. He does run high end barrels and a kahles scope but the action is a sloppy savage. I say sloppy because its seen so many...
