Sidearms & Scatterguns Yes, I'm starting a caliber debate...

Re: Yes, I'm starting a caliber debate... I have a 340PD. I wanted one for years and saved for it. I like the styling and the titanium cylinder. 12oz gun is easy to carry. I practice with 38s and load 38+p's. That will get the job done. Did I waste money? No, I got what I wanted. As far as I...

Re: 223 bolt guns I understand why you might believe a longer barrel is a waste on a 223. But the proof is in the shooting. I like mine. Rob

    Ruger mini 14

Re: Ruger mini 14 I have a Mini14 I bought new in 1985 with the factory folding stock. It will go bang as well as any gun I own. Very reliable. For accuracy testing I take a Hula-Hoop and place it about 30 feet to my right on the ground. Then I shoot a ten shot group to 100 yards. Take the...

    Fieldcraft FDE Cerakote surprise

Re: FDE Cerakote surprise I have used the FDE and got that dark color on a few pieces by cooking it 100 degrees hotter. First one was my own gun by accident. I have done others by request for that color. 450 degrees. It has had no ill affects I can see on my gun. Not a safe queen. Rob

    Pierced primer?

Re: Pierced primer? +1 on what Sandbogg said. I would suggest using magnum primers in your load development. The cups are much thicker= reduced primer issues. YMMV-Rob

    Defiance or Stiller or Surgeon?

Re: Defiance or Stiller or Surgeon? I have worked with all of these. Not a dog in the bunch. Both Surgeon and Defiance have a one piece bolt and handle assembly. If you like a polished look the defiance is the way to go. Beautiful piece. It really hurt me to have to blast that nice polish and...

    Manners, McMillan, or AI

Re: Manners, McMillan, or AI I have owned the Manners and the McM. I have smaller hands and the McMillan fits my grip better. The manners was a little thick in the grip for me. The AICS is nice, but I prefer the grip of the fiberglass style stocks. Like was said, lay down behind one of each...
