    I believe defacing or altering a serial number on a firearm is frowned upon by the BATF. Irregardless if the seller did or did not do this, you might want to remind him of this fact. I think you will get your funds back. Enough said.

    Looks like I found four long action Generation 1 magazines. Small gun shop in Long Island had four in the original wrapping. Question that I have ; were the original HS Bottom Metal and magazines switched out for Badger Ordnance BM and magazines for all the M24A2's at some point by the army?

    86,000 Garands from Philippines for CMP?

    I understand that the condition, for the majority of these rifles, are poor. They have been sitting out in warehouses (if you can call them that) for a long time, many open to the humidity/rain. Most of the rifles will have to be broken down, inspected and refinished.
