    RP Rifles 6.5x47

No doubt this rifle shoots, but I DEFINITELY shoot it better suppressed. Here are the targets after bumping the charge weight a bit, and screwing on the Thunderbeast 30p-1: This is at 100 yards, three shots, 123 SMK/38.7 Varget/Wolf SRM/.020" jump. That's a 3" shoot and see, with a 1" bull...

    RP Rifles 6.5x47

I wish I had 4 rifles in the works. Jose has some nice components for that 300wm, and I want to shoot it when complete because i think it would be a great Oklahoma wind gun!

    RP Rifles 6.5x47

    How are the 123's a handicap? I'm assuming you've run the numbers yourself, rather than just throwing that comment out there....but if you haven't, then here they are: 123 SMK @2880 assuming 10mph 3:00 wind and a 2500 DA: 300 - 1.0/.5 500 - 2.6/.8 800 - 5.7/1.4 1000 - 8.4/1.9 140...

    RP Rifles 6.5x47

I've been shooting my .223 with pointed 82 bergers at every club and PRS match that I have participated in over the past year and a half. I have about 3500 rounds down that rifle, and it still bugholes like no other rifle I own. However, it finally became apparent that the downrange energy isn't...

Tips for a guy thinking about Giraud

Buy it, and forster lock rings as well. You'll be thankful that you did. That's the only advice that I can give. It's a good machine.

    6.5x47L alternate powders?

Potentially Ramshot Tac though I would work up and keep an eye on pressure early, Ramshot Hunter and Ramshot Big Game would work well...Bonus is that they all meter really well.

123 SMK vs 123 Nosler CC

Not to mention the availability of the bullet as compared to the SMK's. Looks like I'm going to have to buy a few hundred to try.

123 SMK vs 123 Nosler CC

All - It's been my experience that the Nosler Custom Comp's have been pretty close to exact copies of their Sierra Matchking counterparts in .30 cal and in .22 cal. I have no experience with them in .264 cal. Can anyone let me know how the 123 Nosler CC's compare, in BC, to the 123 Sierra...

Gunsmithing 223 barrel contour choice for prone, off hand and sitting

I am familiar with both, and I shoot a 223 with a varmint contour barrel after trying my hands with an m24 contour. I'll continue offer that the Varmint contour is all that one would need in a 223, save for some extenuating circumstances.

    Loads for .260 /.243/ 6.5x47/6.5 Creedmoor

    They make a 6.5 107, but I wouldn't run it in a 6.5...the 123/130/140 bullets smoke it.

Sierra 155gr Palma (2156)...mag length friendly?

This bullet favors a long jump, so you are good to go there. I had to jump them past .050 to get them to shoot decent...and 8208 is your ticket. I was at 2890 with that bullet, 8208, Winchester brass, and a 95 Palma chambered Rock at 20". It's a great bullet, good luck.

Gunsmithing 223 barrel contour choice for prone, off hand and sitting

No need to go heavier than Varmint contour for 223.

Range Report Can you make this cold bore shot? --Poll

Where were all of these hot shots this past weekend in New Mexico for the Score High Tactical Rifle Challenge? Cold Bore shot at 550 on a 7-8" plate (I believe), and there were misses aplenty.

    Competitions and Rifle Cleaning

Snake or clean it before you leave, but don't mess with it over the course of a match. The only time I touch the bore of the rifle is either before I leave for a match...followed by about 5 foulers...or if I am at a very humid place and there might be condensate in the bore, then I'll I'll pull...
