So, I'm not crazy, you see an issue too, right? hahaha

    Rifle Scopes I need opinions/thoughts

I did and I sent the scope back the day after I received it. I was told that it's fine and passes their QC. I sent them the photos and they said they went through the a case of them and they are all the same, at least I assume he was talking about the 2's. IMO, the etching is not correct...

    Rifle Scopes I need opinions/thoughts

I purchases an Athlon Cronus BTR, as soon as I received it I inspected it and it looked great however, when I illuminated the reticle at a low setting I noticed that there were "hash" marks on all of the 2's which was weird. As I increase the brightness the "hash" marks became even more...

Rifle Scopes Return to zero failures

I have been following this thread and others and my conclusion is if there are zeroing issues potentially caused by split rings, then there is an easy solution, don't use them. There are dozens of fantastic rings/mounts out there that I don't need to consider a split ring.

Rifle Scopes Athlon Cronus BTR review

As mentioned, I had an issue with my reticle when illuminated. I called Athlon, sent a photo of my reticle illuminated, which clearly shows that there is an issue. I was never told that my scope was bad, I was told that blooming is normal but they will replace it. There was no question that they...

Rifle Scopes Athlon Cronus BTR review

Ok, that is good to know, thanks. I've returned mine and they are replacing it, as it looks like I got a bad one.

Rifle Scopes Athlon Cronus BTR review

How does the reticle look when illuminated? Is there any bleeding or does it seem off-center? I just received mine and it's nice but when I illuminated the reticle it didn't look good. I was told it's not a big deal they all do that, which I find a ridiculous comment. Do you have a photo of...

Rifle Scopes Vortex AMG and Athlon Cronus BTR Reticle Pics and Impressions

Better yet, here is a photo from Jade Precision on their review of the Cronus (older) reticle illuminated. Look at the numbers, they are black and it's perfect illumination. This solidifies that mine/ours shouldn't exhibit what we are seeing.

Rifle Scopes Vortex AMG and Athlon Cronus BTR Reticle Pics and Impressions

Well this isn't a red dot. I have had other scopes with illuminated reticles and I haven't had any that look like this illuminated. I used a higher setting to capture the bleeding best for the photo but it does look the same through all the settings. All of the number "2's" looks like a hash...

Rifle Scopes Vortex AMG and Athlon Cronus BTR Reticle Pics and Impressions

If you notice on the photo the light bleed on the numbers. It is there from low to high settings. I've sent Athlon the photo and they are replacing the scope which is great however, they say light bleed is normal at high settings. To be honest, I've never seen an illumination on any scope...

Rifle Scopes any first impressions of the Athlon Ares BTR?

I can't comment on the Ares but I just got my Cronus BTR. Seems like a really nice glass and the turrets are better than expected. All was good until I turned on the illumination. It was off-center and the numbers were jacked up. Waiting on an RMA, hopefully second one will be better.

Rifle Scopes Vortex AMG and Athlon Cronus BTR Reticle Pics and Impressions

I received my Cronus BTR yesterday and upon inspection I illuminated the reticle this is what I see. It looks like it's not lined up properly. Does this look normal to you?

Rifle Scopes 2017 sig tango6 line

Totally agree, their website is horrible. The only detailed information is in the catalog and even that is suspect. Look at the 4-24x50 chart posted above. First, it's missing the "mm" like the others, and on the MRAD DEV-L Illuminated the ADJ. column has .25 MOA! Did anyone at Sig Proof read...

Rifle Scopes 2017 sig tango6 line

Well, I received my Athlon Cronus BTR today and looks like I got a lemon. The illumination of the reticle is bad. It's off center and looks like it's being projected on another plane. I will call Athlon tomorrow and hopefully it will be an easy replacement. What I can comment about in...

    The Fix from Q

That's good to know about the pic rail. As for the bolt handle I still would like to know why they didn't use it fold to the left or maybe even both. I get the reasoning behind the handle is the way it is is when the stock is folded it can fit between a cut out on the stock. If it folded to the...

Bottom metal installation CDI or PTG

I'm going to also suggest the American Precision Arms (APA) bottom metal. It has the same footprint as the Badger M5 bottom metal but cheaper and better IMO. Takes AI an AW mags and it's 7075 T6 if that matters to you.

    The Fix from Q

Has anyone asked why the stock can't fold to the left rather than the right so they can put a better bolt handle on it? Although I haven't handled or used it, I still hate it. They could have also made it lighter by shortening the pic rail.
