That's my range bag...
I decided to send my 243 off to be rebarreled to 260 after the accuracy started falling off. Besides the new barrel I also had the chamber set back on the 243 barrel to get some more life out of it and recoil lug pinned so I could put the 243 barrel back on myself if I wanted. The 260 barrel...

Re: .243 barrel life question.
I have a 243 that I shot in F Class that was a sub .5 MOA gun. It held out for about 1000 rounds before the accuracy started falling off. I was pushing it pretty hard though (105 AMAX 3270 fps). Now it holds just under 1 MOA with 1500 rounds and its new purpose...
Re: My first custom - 6.5 Creedmoor

Re: Woodchuck Hunting
These are some old pictures but they really make me miss Ohio... I haven't shot one in probably 5 years but this is where I got my first taste of long range shooting. Ruger M77 MKII Target gray 22-250 was my first semi accurate rifle.
I shot my first deer ever yesterday. It was a little 8 point buck taken at 471 yards with my 243 shooting a 105 AMAX. That is the exit hole in the pictures.
Re: DIY steel targets . . . continued
Spending the holidays at my parents house, I have been lost for something to do. My dad has a bunch of steel laying around in his shop and said I could have/use whatever I wanted. I made a few 8x8 plates out of 1/2" steel and 12x12 plate out of 3/8"...
Re: Remington Action ..... what to build?
My vote is for 300WM.
I just took my 270 to the smith to have it turned into a 300WM. Going to open up the bolt face and put in a sako style extractor.
Re: best bull shizzle someone told you and was serious
Dude told me he had the longest confirmed kill at 2450 Meters with the M107 (until the Brits beat him)in Afghanistan but his unit didn't do anything to get him recognized for it. By the way this dude is a complete tool bag.
Re: Cyber Monday @ SWFA
Today was an exciting day waiting to get home. I ordered the Cyber Monday deal Monday morning and received my scope today. Hell yeah! It is the blacked out version too which I was not expecting, but am pretty happy about. This is the first time I have ever touched...
