    My mausingfield action does the exact same thing. Its in a KRG chassis with an extended mag catch so i could fine tune the magazine height in the action. I'm using ARC mags with LRI followers. Nothing has changed it. I'm running with it. I expected it to run right when I bought a $1600 action...

    Kind of an odd scenario. I went shooting yesterday to break in a new barrel that I'm working with. When fired the bolt lift is minimal. Its only when I'm dry firing it that its super stiff. Has anyone else encountered this?

    Mine is also DLC'd, so it should be lighter.. for those of you that have them, does the number on the bolt head and extractor match your serial number?

    Timney Calvin Elite Single stage. And the bolts has gun grease at contact points on the bolt.

    I dropped the trigger out, and the Bolt lift remained the same, so i don't think the trigger is the problem. I may just be a weak ass complaining about nothing. Its a heavy bolt lift, but its completely manageable.

    I saw his also. Mine isn't necessarily the same problem i don't think. It doesn't always click at the top. Especially if the FCG is out. It really seems like a super stiff firing pin spring, though i wanted some opinions of people that have them.

    I shoot a 6 comp match, and the only reason i continue to shoot 6 comp match is because I'm already set up for the cartridge. Custom dies are expensive.     Could you try H4831 in the 22? I believe you can get just as good of velocity with it and probably better barrel life. You'll likely be able to try it sooner than i can.

    One area and one area only. Off the shelf ammo. I don't care about off the shelf ammo. I reload for everything i shoot. Running a 23 inch 243 with a bunch of 4831 sounds like the ticket for me.. its actually what i plan on doing once i get my nucleus action in.

    This really interests me. I'm thinking a 23 or 24 inch 243 with a varmint contour possibly slightly heavier would be a good starting point.     For the amount of money you're going to spend on inletting why not look at a KRG bravo system rather than making what you have work. In the end I think you'd be happier with it and come out about even. You could probably sell the stock and break even almost. Just an option. I hope you get it all...

    FWIW, this is my process: 1. Wipe down cases 2. Anneal w/ AMP 3. Deprime 4. Size with Bushing die (LRI 6 Compmatch die doesn't have a deprimer) 5. Trim (every firing if it doesn't need it, it doesn't get cut) 6. Chamfer 7. Deburr 8. Scrape primer pocket 9. Tumble in corncob media If you want...
