Re: PMAG 7.62 in FDE or OD... Black Polymer mixtures are generally stronger than Tan or Green ones. I dont believe Magpul sees the need to justify the expenser of a Green or Tan LR mag at this time, and then it would be a $40-50 mag from my understanding, not a $15-20 retail mag...

    Knights Armament Rifles

Re: Knights Armament Rifles Best I have done @ 800m was slightly over 5" When we did accuracy trials we shot 6 different loads with 3 shooters and 3 guns rotating through the shooters. Best was a shade over 3" and worst was 5.5"

16" suppressed .308 as a long range setup

Re: 16" suppressed .308 as a long range setup Most M118LR I have seen recently is not worth getting... BlackHills 175gr is shooting way better, between that and AB39 (Mk316) they the most accurate non handloaded ammo available, and I dont think AB39 is available to non Mil/Industry.

16" suppressed .308 as a long range setup

Re: 16" suppressed .308 as a long range setup We are seeing 2495fps with M118LR in our 16" gun. Depending on can and ammo, you will see a -/+ 25fps difference. Most will be + but some Lapua ammo does not seem to like cans and actually slows down.

    Semi Auto 1/4 MOA group?

Re: Semi Auto 1/4 MOA group? Gas guns are tougher to shoot than bolt guns. Generally bolt guns are ergonomically designed to shoot from the belly or bench, and most gas guns where designed as Infantry Combat weapons (at least at the initial design stage). I shot a .25 group from a SR-25...

    M110 replacement?

Re: M110 replacement? The Army is looking at a new scope for the M110 Upgrade. To me the no brainer interim scope should be the 6.5-20x Leupy from the M2010 program -- common scope for sniper - H58 reticle. I'll let the haters hate, your not going to find a gun that can withstand the...

No SCAR or ACR? US Army issuing RFP for new gun

Re: No SCAR or ACR? US Army issuing RFP for new gun LSAT died as it was 5.56CTA -- the powers that be did not want to fund a 5.56mm lightweight LMG replacement. Sinister is 100% correct on his comments. This biggest issue is training of the individual soldier. I for one would never feel...

Re: Gas port length on a 18.5 308 barrel 16" .308's will run rifle gas all day with no issues and do better suppressed than shorter gas system... An 18.5" bbl should have absolutely no issues running a rifle length gas system, anyone telling you shorter does not have all the data.

    KAC SR-15 match?!

Re: KAC SR-15 match?! No longer building them, sorry. We made a few for LE dept's last year, but with the introduction of the SR-25 EMC commercially - we dont see much of a requirement for longer barreled 5.56mm guns in our line up.

    M110 replacement?

Re: M110 replacement? A lot of work goes into administrating a government contract than selling a commercial weapon. The Army XM-110 SASS contract held no gurantees as to how many weapons would be procured, we sold a slew more Mk11's to SOCOM that the Army has fielded M110, if the Army had...

    M110 replacement?

Re: M110 replacement? Current KAC M110 contract price is around $11,800 this is for the WHOLE kit -- a slew of options that the ARMY contracting office required. Our M110 Carbine will beat all comers. Very few companies have the required infrastructure to build over 200 guns a month, let...
