    Re: s&w m&p 15 quality? I believe they're on par with some of the better names in the business- Rock River, Bushmaster etc. They had some issues to begin with, but that's apparently been resolved. So yes, they're a good buy for an off-the-shelf rifle. Have you shot it? D

    Re: removing fluting tool marks? I think it looks fine, and would install it on my rifle. However it's not my rifle, so if it bothers you I'd do whatever it takes to make you happy. I'm not slamming anyone/thing here, just saying... WOW this is alot of discussion for one barrel!

    Re: Handguard heating up Yeah, its just a tube. I wasn't doing what i consider "rapid-fire", I was sighting in for about 10 rounds, and then testing a couple different loads. That barrel does get pretty danged hot, I guess it makes sense... Thanks for the thoughts, at least I know to expect...

    So I just finished my first AR build, and of course I needed a free float handguard. Its all good right? Well, first time out to the range the other day I noticed the handguard getting hot. Its just a standard aluminum freefloat, no rails. But after only 30-40 rounds, it was unpleasantly warm...

    Re: Kahr problems My PM9 took about 300 rounds before it would reliably cycle ammo. I also polished the barrel hood and inside the slide, which seemed to help. I'd shoot a few hundred before making a decision... just my .02 D

    Suppressors H&K USP safety reversal

    Guys, Can anyone tell me how to reverse the control lever on my USP? It obviously doesn't mention it in the owner manual and I'd like to switch it to shoot lefthanded. Maybe there's already a thread on it but I couldn't find any such thread. D
