Re: Just in time for Christmas: Tac Ops Kilo-51
I also would like to see a photo of Tac Ops bottom metal. My Tango has the Williams bottom metal and it works great.
Re: Experience with Mr. Bob Green
Keep us posted and we want to see pictures of the groups your rifle shoots. He only lives about 2.5 hours from me. He spends alot of time at the Bodines 1000 yard club. I have herd from several people he builds a great rifle.
Re: Skunkworks or GAP?
I was in the market for a 22-250 and talked with several smiths. After talking with Mike at Skunkworks several times. I pulled the trigger and ordered a 22-250 Recon. It should be here the end of January. I will be doing a full write up on the Recon when I get it.
Re: Just in time for Christmas: Tac Ops Kilo-51
Carter, I copied Mike Millers load for his Tac Ops and it shoots great in my Tango 51. I never had to do any load development. It was wonderful. What made you go with Neil Jones dies?
Re: 2 GAP rifles.... think they are keepers :-)
That's some great shooting. Are you using factory ammo? How do you like the feel of the thumb hole stock?
Re: Just in time for Christmas: Tac Ops Kilo-51
Carter, do you plan on handloading for you Tac Ops? It is amazing how accurate a Tac Ops is with factory 168g GMM ammo. I have been shooting 155g Secnar bullets and Varget and it has been performing better than the 168g GMM.
Re: Just in time for Christmas: Tac Ops Kilo-51
Congrats on the Tac Ops. My Tango is the most accurate gun I have ever shot. I look forward to your reviews of your Tac Ops. I'm waiting on a Underground Skunkworks Recon to come in. I think it's going to give my Tango a run for it's money.
Re: Laser Rangefinders...
I would go with the Zeiss Victory 8x26. I just sold a pair to fund the purchase of the Victory 10x45 RF. I owned the 8x26 for a few years and they worked great. Call Euro Optics, they will hook you up.
Re: Nightforce 5.5-22 Awesome!
Congrats on the new Night Force. They make a great scope! Once you deal with Euro Optics you will go no place else. Alex and the gand are great and they will always take care of you. In todays fast paced world, its nice to know that some people still do things...
Re: APA custom rifle
I have the 3.5x15x56 on a .223. I like the 56mm for its light gathering ability. You can't go wrong with any of the NF scopes. What type of shooting or hunting are you going to be doing with your rifle?
