Rifle Scopes Experiences and Reliability with the Kahles K540i?

You'll find reports of every scope brand failing. I wouldn't let that in itself deter you from buying a K540, I don't think failure rates are high or anything to be concerned about. However, when a Khales does fail it will likely have to go to Austria through Swarovski USA, which is a process...

    Switch barrel build

I personally hate set screws in almost any application, I've had them fail too many times.

    Switch barrel build

I don't think the point is that the set screw "affects" the barrel tennon. I believe the point being made is that little set screw providing one small pin point of pressure on a tennon is not enough to adequately retain a barrels zero for sustained precision use, especially in adverse...

    Switch barrel build

Ah gotcha. That would be annoying.

    Match Cases/Organization

If flying, I put the rifle in a soft case which goes inside a pelican case. When I get to the destination I only use the soft case for comp days.

    Switch barrel build

One could also put wrench flats on the end of the barrel, in honor of Reubenski

Why are you removing the scope to remove the barrel?

I also have small hands, I have never gotten along with Manners stocks.

Bunny Ear Rear Bag + Fclass Bipod

I see your point, but I already own the LRA bipod with ski feet. Bought it years ago with the intent of getting more involved in ELR shooting. I'm looking into the bunny ear bag setup for 100 yard range use and to explore a potentially more precise setup that utilizes my LRA bipod. I typically...

Bunny Ear Rear Bag + Fclass Bipod

Those joypods seem slick, but definitely are quite the fiscal investment. Not sure if I'm prepared to spend that at the moment. But I can see how this would be a superior setup to the LRA Fclass bipod I'm trying to utilize. Those Edgewood bags look nice though. I see Dima is another one...

Suppressors KGM R30/R30T OR TBAC MAGNUS RR

Excellent accuracy. These cans have pretty much no runout. A Theorem-L would compare very favorably to any large volume suppressor.

Bunny Ear Rear Bag + Fclass Bipod

Anyone here using an Fclass style bipod with bunny ear rear bag? If so, what are you using? I would like to get one to pair up with an LRA Fclass bipod with skis that I have, and JAE chassis's that have bag riders. I understand that I would need a bag which has an ear width that matches up...

Suppressors KGM R30/R30T OR TBAC MAGNUS RR

The Theorem line came out last year I think. They are relatively new to the suppressor world, but their suppressors are top tier quality.

Suppressors KGM R30/R30T OR TBAC MAGNUS RR

I would look hard at an Abel Co Theorem/Theorem-L. Top notch build quality with precision in mind. Not quite as expensive as TBAC and typically no wait.

Zero Compromise ZCO 4-20x scope for a 18” SPR 5.56….

EuroOptic for one. I haven't spent any time behind the 5-20, so I can't answer those questions.

Advanced Marksmanship Fclass or super stable bipod for load development/tracking

Do you use the standard rubber feet or do you use the ski feet accessory with your LRA?

Precision Rifle Gear Chad vs Botnia

This. I've never had an issue spotting impacts while shooting suppressed. But I can see how shooting suppressed would cause issues with the Jim See school of shooters that employ free recoil and trigger slapping techniques.

You can find new S+B 5-20 ultra shorts for around $4k or less.

    Looking for a bolt action.

I've had a scope rail come loose during a competition. Was on a Defiance Rebel action. My main action is my Mausingfield, which also isn't integral. But it's keyed, and if a screw was to come loose its so tight I doubt it would move. I wouldn't argue that an integral rail is necessary, but I...
