What are y’all using to transport your rifles to matches. With send it levels and times hanging off I have been looking at cases but don’t necessarily want to cut the foam. I have looked at daka grids. Just kinda seeing what everyone else is using.

You driving or flying? If driving it’s in a soft case/drag bag style as hard cases in cars is a pain in the ass plain and simple. Also hard case protection is not needed in a car.

If flying I use a good hard case. Simple cut outs to leave enough padding to actually protect the rifle and more importantly the scope. I see some hard case cut outs and people have everything but the kitchen sink in the case and barely anything to protect. Less is more and also it keeps weight down for flying. I will see if I can find a pic of my old set up. Haven’t flown in a while but will be in a few months to the final SH Cup at Rifles Only.

Here’s one from a while ago but will be the same now. I always have the scope up towards the handle too.

If it's a local match I usually have my main rifle in a soft Voodoo case and that sits on or beside a hard case that has my backup rifle. For trips where I am car pooling or may be making a lot of extra stops I might put my entire soft rifle case in a Pelican case.

The Pelican case is bulky but it does offer a bit of extra protection against cargo piled on top, bumps or theft. I don't bother with foam inserts, just the rifle in the soft case inside the Pelican.

Ditto to above. Soft case drag bag when driving, Pelican case with custom cut foam if flying.

Cutting foam is pretty easy, and replacement foam inserts are cheap. Just get a brand new razor blade knife with one of the extending long blades, and switch to a new blade as soon as it's not cutting smoothly.
