    223Ai Best loads

it should be tight on the neck/shoulder junction as long as you can close the bolt. It'll form really well without having to jam bullets or worry about cases stretching or separating. You definitely want to be able to feel some resistance to the bolt closing. If it won't close you could always...

    Homemade Induction Annealer

I used the MGNZ Arduino board for mine. It's set up pretty much plug and play with the software already loaded. The latest version has a stepper driver built into it to run a case feeder with a closed loop stepper and can run the case dropper using either a solenoid or a small RC car servo...

    223Ai Best loads

These are the load development tables for what I use, for 80 and 88 gn ELD-M's. Both are with ADI brass and BR4 primers in a 25" 1:7" twist IBI barrel. Powder is ADI 2206H (H4895) for the 80's and Reloader 15 for the 88's. I fireform with 25 gn of 2206H and an 80 gn bullet, or just use factory...

Quick Review - Frankford Arsenal Case Trim and Prep Center

It is much sharper and stays that way for a long time. It slices the brass off instead of wearing and burring it. I was really disapointed with the way it cut when I bought it but the carbide cutter fixed it. I temporarily mounted mine to a cheap drill sharpener motor and it's stayed that way...

    223 AI or No

I'm running 88's with RL15, it works well. I wouldn't mind giving Leverevolution a go but it's not terribly common in Australia. Here's my RL15 velocity testing, your results may vary.

    223 AI or No

That's what I do with mine, a Redding FL die with the expander removed and then a mandrel to open the necks up to size. I use the Redding seating die but put a micrometer stem in it. I used a collet neck die for ages until I had a proper die set turn up, they got a bit tight after 4 or 5 firings.

Quick Review - Frankford Arsenal Case Trim and Prep Center

I've got one of the drill mounted FA trimmers, I put a carbide cutter in it and it made a big difference. I spin the cases as it's trimming and get +/- .001" consistently.

    Homemade Induction Annealer

Google search 3mm basalt or fibreglass insulating sleeve. You'll find it on eBay or Amazon.

    Bergara b-14r pic thread

Thanks, it's just a steel barrel B14R barreled action in an X-Ray stock. I made a longer arca spigot and a rail for it and some brass forend weights as well as an ambidextrous cheekpiece. It's got a 30 MOA rail, Rifle Basix trigger, Bushnell DMRii 3.5-21 in Zeiss rings and a Docter red dot. It...

    Anyone anneal this fast?

It's still a bit of a work in progress but I'm liking it. It used an arduino control from MGNZ and mostly off the shelf electronics. I made the other bits myself.

    Anyone anneal this fast?

    Mine isn't overly slow.

    223 Ackley Improved

I'm using 26.3 gn of RL15 with the 88 ELD-M's in my Ackley, ADI brass and a BR4 primer. It's getting 2875 fps and an SD of 7-8. It was hitting a 2.5" plate at 400m pretty consistently so that's good enough for me accuracy-wise. I could probably tweak the seating depth etc but in reality I don't...

    Rimfire Rifle Photos Thread

I think I've got my Bergara pretty much how I like it. I made this stock about 7 years ago and gave it a bit of a retrofit with the arca rail and spigot. It's currently got a Tikka Tac A1 buttstock on it which was sitting around, it actually works really well. I added a heap of weight to it...

    Lithgow LA 101

Lumley Arms do a spring kit for the LA101 and it works really well, I used it in mine. There's a bit of work fitting them but it's common sense if you take your time. I just had a quick google and they're available in the US at...

Anybody running a 6br out of a Tikka

It's an Australian company. Nice bit of gear, you have 3 positions you can fit the stop to. https://highvelocityhuntingaustralia.com.au/tikka-bolt-stop-adjustable/

Anybody running a 6br out of a Tikka

I've got one in 6BR in a bravo stock and it feeds fine. I made followers and spacers for my mags but the MDT ones weren't available at the time. I fitted one of the HVHA adjustable bolt stops which shortens the throw a fair bit.

School me on the "best 6mm"

The BR is on a tikka action with a 26" hardy carbon 1:8" twist, I use MDT mags and made my own followers and spacers. The BRX is on a Stiller Tac 30 AW with a 25" IBI 1:8" twist using AW mags with the HRD follower kits in them. They're both plenty accurate enough, the tikka is a fairly light...

School me on the "best 6mm"

I've got a regular 6BR and a 6BRX. Both of them work really well, the BRX has an extra 100FPS for a lot more work fireforming and probably wasn't worth all the extra effort but I've got a ton of cases formed now. I'd probably go a straight 6BR and spend the time and money shooting rather than...
