    This doesn't get mentioned often enough. I remember one light tan color (can't recall which one) that I must've needed a half-dozen coats to get coverage. I swear the shit was almost semi-transparent.

    I'd be surprised if the receiver could be properly etched (blasting with AlOx as needed) due to the coating. DLC substantially exceeds Rockwell 60 hardness. Without significant etching for the mechanical bond required it'll wear off in short order.

    New brass is almost always undersize, at least in my experience. Too little, or too much headspace is a non-issue for handloaders that can adjust the shoulder datum as needed (within reason, natch).

    If you're able to, mike the OD of the thread tenon. If the OD is within spec (.616-.625 roughly) you can use a die to cut the minor diameter a bit more to fit your device.
